Total sales in January were down 3% from last year. Sales
in 2015 were up 5.6% for the
year.

Inventory is quite low throughout the region.

The under contract percentage is a bit
lower than last year but still around 50% of listings are under
contract.

down 3% from 2015 and up 3%
from 2014.

The right hand column on this chart gives the
number of months of inventory
currently available in
Boulder County for each price range. NAR
(National Association of
Realtors) says that 5-6 months is a
balanced market. In different price
ranges our inventory ranges from less than a month to more than four years.
My View of the Market Inventory was at an all time low to start the
year but it seems that inventory is starting to slowly build as sellers take advantage of the strong sellers market and cash in on recent appreciation.
Interest rates have dipped recently matching 12 month lows. Buyers are taking advantage.
Prices are still appreciating quickly. Especially in the lower price ranges.
