PATRICKS DAY CELEBRATION Boston Harbor Hotel—Wharf Room Wednesday, March 17, 2010 THE IRISH AMERICAN PARTNERSHIP Joe Leary, President of the Partnership, Partnership Director Bill Reilly, Colleen Reilly and friends. The Irish American Partnership Annual St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast in Boston was held in the Wharf Room at the Boston Harbor Hotel overlooking picturesque Boston Harbor on a beautiful crisp spring morning with over 250 Irish Bostonians in attendance. Irish and American national Anthems led by the incomparable Mary Henderson, Green and White carnations for all, an elaborate premium breakfast with new and old friends and a fast- moving, entertaining program. Ireland’s Consul General Michael Lonergan and British Consul General Dr. Phillip Budden were recognized for their contributions to the Boston area. Minister of State from the Northern Ireland Office, The Honorable Paul Goggins MP and Ireland’s Minister for Labor affairs The Honorable Dara Calleary TD from County Mayo presented their remarks describing conditions in Ireland and its future prospects. Both Ministers complimented the Partnership’s work in Ireland. Executive Vice President of the Partnership, Mary Sugrue McAleer’s remarks were the highlight of the breakfast reviewing the Partnership’s grant programs in Ireland. The breakfast adjourned promptly at 9:30, as promised, with the singing of God Bless America presented by Mary Swanton and Dorchester’s Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy Choir.
