2. Activities

2.1 Sales/Engineering

DCAU/SYD has a dedicated team of Sales Engineers designing and selling systems, power units and hydraulic components to the regions OEM’s, End Users and Distribution network.

Power units, systems and manifolds are manufactured and supplied out of the Engineering Department located in the Sydney Head Office.

A wide range of industrial and mobile applications exist in the region with a fair proportion employing electronic control.

Example Applications: Ship-Loaders, Stackers, Bucket Wheel Reclaimers, Feeders, Presses, Drills (above and underground), Underground Miners, Train Load-Outs, Indexers, Belt Tensioning, Reel Drives, Transit Mixers, Garbage Trucks, Sugar Mill Drives…………

2.2 Spare Parts

A full time spare parts team is available to assist with spare part enquiries for all of the Bosch Rexroth product range.

2.3 Internal Service

A team of dedicated factory trained Service Technicians are on site to facilitate repairs to Bosch Rexroth products.

The DCAU/SYD Internal Service Department is a registered Bosch Rexroth Advanced Service Centre for the repair of Bosch Rexroth pumps, motors, mobile valves, industrial valves, cylinders, gear boxes, ECS Actuators. Test facilities include:

• 2 x 110KW test benches are installed with variable speed drive to test both open and closed loop pumps and motors.

• 1 x 110KW test bench is installed for testing valves and cylinders.

2.4 LHD (Large Hydraulic Drives) Service

A dedicated team of factory trained Service Technicians headed up by the Internal Service Manager are on site to facilitate repairs and conversions to the motors and pumps within this product group, repairing large Hägglunds drive motors up to 6000Nm/bar.

Test bench of 400kW are installed in the Sydney Head Office that can be accessed when required.

2.5 LHC (Large Hydraulic Cylinders) Service

DCAU/SYD is equipped to repair and test the LHC (Large Hydraulic Cylinders) from our factories in Boxtel, Netherlands and Lohr, Germany that are installed on equipment in applications such as Ship-Loaders, Stacker/ Reclaimers, Dredges and other large machines in the mining and marine industry.

A dedicated team of factory trained service technicians headed up by the Internal Service Manager are on site to facilitate the repairs.

2.6 LHE (Large Hydraulic Excavators) Component Service

Bosch Rexroth Hydraulic and Gear components are present on most large Hydraulic Excavators.

DCAU/SYD is equipped to repair and test the Bosch Rexroth Pumps, Motors, Valves, Swing Drive Gearboxes, Travel Drive Gearboxes and Engine Splitter Gearboxes.

Reman and Service Exchange (selected components only) for fast turnaround, genuine parts are always used

2.7 External/Field Service

A dedicated team of Field Service Technicians operate throughout the region to install and commission our power units and systems that we manufacture and perform scheduled preventative maintenance for the ongoing life of the systems.

The field service department offers a 24/7 breakdown service. Technicians are available for local and overseas assignments.

Our fleet of service vehicles, some with 4WD capacity, are all equipped with electronic data logging equipment to service both metropolitan and remote locations.

2.8 Tubing

The Sydney facility is equipment with a dedicated Project Manager and are able to offer in house design, manufacture supply and installation of non-welded tubing systems from 6mm to 130mm OD to 420 bar operating pressure.

Large tube projects with hydraulic oil, gear oil, water and other mediums can be handled by this department. An onsite design draftsman producing 3D models, estimator and production team work together to create a kit that is shipped to site for easy installation.

2.9 Stocking

DCAU has a national centralized warehouse located within the Sydney Head Office facility. Emergency spare parts are kept in Perth, with freighting options for overnight air freight from Sydney and in most cases express road freight is an acceptable solution. Perth maintain generalized stocking of emergency type products, this includes tank and system accessories, consumables and valving to suit a large range of products.

Also, a variety of Service exchange components for axial position pumps and motors are offered, we can also offer tailored packages for SX components will guarantee usage.

2.10 Power Units

DCAU can provide power units provide low operating costs and a minimal CO2 footprint thanks to the highest energy efficiency. At the same time, we systematically reduce noise emission and make sure that your system complies with all safety standards. We utilize the advantages of the largest hydraulics construction kit in the world and mainly use standard components from series production. Bosch Rexroth hydraulic power units always offer the perfect combination of power in line with demand and the lowest energy consumption.

3.4 Logistics

The Port of Sydney is a major International shipping terminal with state of the art loading and unloading facilities. Renowned for fast turnaround, it is located only 42 km away and connected by arterial roads to the Sydney facility.

3.6 Painting

3.7 General Machining

A limited capacity exists for machining, generally we rely on our sub suppliers that are located conveniently and have specialist tooling for this requirement. A small turning lathe, surface grinder and gas cutting equipment are located in the dirty room facility for our limited requirement.

3.8 Hosting & Training

Several areas are available for hosting and training with dedicated meeting rooms to suit varying number of participates with nearby catering outlets for refreshments during the events. Projector and a large flat screens TV’s are available for video and audio presentations.
