What is special about the range cannot be tied down to one single benefit as they set revolutionary standards in every respect.

A total of five models in attractive colours come in an elegant and award-winning design with high-power suction performance of up to 2,400W.

Each year, test results are published by international consumer organisations. BSH is the world’s third largest household appliance manufacturer, so we hold these results in high regard. Handling

Vacuuming is already a chore, why make it more difficult with a unit that does not reach, falls over or scratches cabinetry and furniture? With smart-packed features, Bosch combines performance with value-added features.

All Bosch cleaners undergo consumer testing and if necessary revisions are made before the models are launched into the market.

Test models face gruelling checks: the cleaner casing must be able to withstand 35 drops from carrying height without damage; floor nozzle must be capable of running 500km; the automatic cable rewind feature is tested at least 6,000 times and the on/off switch 45,000 times,

and the hose must withstand 40,000 bends pulling a weight of 2kg without breaking. To check roller and chassis stability, we even run our test cleaners over the threshold 6,000 times.

Filtration

Some people say using a bag is a hassle, yet it is the most effective way to remove dust, pollen and other allergens from a home. Bosch offers practical self-closing bags that are designed for convenience and maximum hygiene.

Performance

Improved airflow and suction provides a far more superior result than traditional cleaners. With greater performance, less cleaning time is required.

Innovative automatic function

Leave the decision as to how and with what any given floor covering will be vacuumed optimally to the intelligent GL–40 automatic from Bosch. It has the superior know-how – in the form of a sensor that measures negative air pressure during vacuuming. In the presence of rising pressure on carpet it reduces the motor output power, whereas in the presence of falling pressure on hard flooring the power is automatically increased. Thanks to this precise, automatic power management, the GL–40 automatic is also quieter and extremely efficient. There is no greater convenience! You no longer need to consider how much of the available 2,200W power you need to apply to vacuum most efficiently. And you no longer need to bend over to adjust the power manually by using the rotary knob control - but of course if that’s what you prefer, then you can still do this, as always.

You can twist and turn this professional vacuum cleaner any way you want – there is quality no matter where you look. The elegant, titanium-coloured finish with its red detailing is distinctive. The finish is scratch-resistant.

Four castor wheels, executed in solid metal, has been designed for long-term endurance, as have the suction hose made of specially woven material and the ergonomically designed handle: its soft red inlay ensures a perfect grip. Also, the solid metal trimming on the end of the suction hose prevents unsightly wear and tear which could otherwise occur in the course of time from vacuuming without fitting a nozzle.

Perfection in every detail! That is why we supply the Home Professional with a professional accessory carry-case – a tool carry-case which contains three replacement filter bags and all important accessories: the extra-large professional suction brush for cleaning furniture such as book shelves. The extra-wide professional upholstery nozzle, which with its four thread-lifters is perfect for vacuuming sofas and mattresses, as well as the extra-long professional crevice nozzle for cleaning narrow openings and gaps.


Automatic Sensor Imagine a vacuum cleaner that is able to detect the type of

floor surface that it is vacuuming and automatically adjust its suction power for optimal performance. Introducing the new Bosch GL–40 Automatic. As a result of this innovative feature, the machine is also more efficient and quieter. Forget about bending down to manually adjust the power level. Using your foot, simply flip the floor nozzle to switch between hard floor and carpet and let the machine do the rest. You can also manually adjust the power level if required.

Compressor Technology Bosch now allows you to vacuum and save energy at the

same time, thanks to the revolutionary Bosch compressor technology®. The aerodynamic blades have been specially designed to reach speeds of up to 800 km/h*, allowing the motor to transfer this suction power directly onto the floor.

A new high-performance turbo nozzle*, as well as the newly developed hose and filters have been designed to optimize the airflow, providing maximum suction with minimum energy consumption. And in conjunction with the turbo nozzle*, Bosch can deliver exceptional air throughput of up to 40 litres a second* for excellent dust pick-up.

Best of all, though, compared with Bosch customary 2,400W machines, it uses up to 40%* less energy with 100% cleaning performance.

Bag / Bagless Bosch has developed a unique solution with

a Bag and Bagless option. Think back on all the times when you were vacuuming and the dust bag change indicator came on. With the bag and bagless model, all you need to do is simply throw out the used dust bag and continue vacuuming using the dust box that comes with this model. It is the perfect solution when one runs out of dust bags. However, if you prefer to vacuum without a dust bag at all times, the Bosch Bag and Bagless model gives you that flexibility.

Two different filtration systems to suit all demands

Bosch has developed an exemplary hygiene concept for the GL–40 and ErgoMaxx models. The finest standards of filter technology vary from AirClean II to AirClean HEPA Active, which ensures the air discharged back into the room is cleaner than the ambient air. The efficiency of the two filter systems is significantly increased by the new MEGAfilt Plus dust bags and additional anti-bacterial treatment. The minutest dust particles, mites, fungi, pollen and bacteria hardly stand a chance in the face of such massive defence.

• AirClean II: Adequate for standard household hygiene demands. With AirClean II, the hygiene filter stage consists of a micro-filter. The air discharged is as clean as the average ambient air.

• AirClean HEPA: The perfect solution for people with dust allergies and those who must observe exceptional hygiene standards. This HEPA system achieves its high degree of effectiveness by a filter mat screen, folded many times over, which filters pollen and fly ash. The air discharged back into the room is cleaner than the average ambient air.

MEGAfilt plus – The bag that cleans the air

The new MEGAfilt®SuperTEX dust bags in the new models feature a further improved, three-layer material so that up to 99% of all dirt and fine dust particles are retained in the dust bag. Suction consistency levels have also been further improved. This means that on partially filled bags, the suction power on the floor tool is not reduced as in the case of conventional paper dust bags. The overall efficiency of the filter system is also improved by minimising soiling inside the vacuum cleaner and prolonging the service life.

The new MEGAfilt®SuperTEX dust bag can hold up to 65% more dust than previous models. The ErgoMaxx models feature an exceptionally large 5.5 litre usable bag capacity, with the GL–40 models featuring a 3.3 litre usable capacity.

Each dust bag is also treated with an anti-microbacterial agent that prevents the growth of bacteria and mildew while the vacuum is not being used.

4 x 360° Swivel Wheels For excellent mobility and stable gliding, each of the four swivel wheels on the ErgoMaxx models rotate a full 360°. The GL–40 model features 3 x 360° swivel wheels for convenient mobility. The wheels are designed to protect your floors and minimise the risk of scratching and marking.

Parking and Storage Aid Next to vacuuming, putting away the vacuum cleaner can be one of the least favoured tasks. With the telescopic tube and handy park aids on the back and base of the cleaner, the unit can be stored effortlessly in a space-saving manner.

Alternatively, when taking a break or if interrupted during the cleaning, simply clip the wand into the park aid on the back of the machine.

Ergonomic Handling For vacuuming without putting a strain on your back, both GL–40 and Ergomaxx range come with ergonomically designed handles for easy handling. The BSG8PRO1AU model goes a step further with its soft red inlay for a more comfortable grip.

Smart 4-in-1 Combination The 4-in-1 combi accessory features an upholstery brush, furniture nozzle, as well as a short and long crevice nozzle all integrated into the ErgoPlus handle. Always within reach, Bosch offers smart and convenient access in any situation – perfect for cleaning furniture, corners, bookcases, lampshades and more. (Available on BSG82480AU and BSG81266AU only.) Likewise, the 2 cleaning tools that comes with the GL–40 models can be stored on the machine which ensures that they will not be misplaced.

Handling Range overview

Practical ‘One-Step’ bag replacement The easiest way to replace the filter bag hygienically is with the ‘One-Step’ method. Simply insert the dust bag and close the cover. Once the electronic indicator displays the dust bag is full, simply open the cover and pull the self closing tab to remove and discard the bag.

For added safety, all Bosch vacuum cleaners include a safety feature preventing use in the event that no bag or the incorrect bag is inserted.

Bosch Floorcare brochure is printed in an environmentally conscious way, using inks containing linseed oils and stock manufactured to high environmental standards.

It is printed on HannoArt Silk, a quality paper manufactured in Europe at paper mills with ISO 14001 EMS, EMAS and OHSAS 18001 accreditation. It is made using low environmental impact FSC accredited pulp.

The company that printed Bosch Floorcare brochure has a strict environmental policy. They use initiatives such as computer-to-plate technology, water/isopropyl alcohol reductions in printing presses and recycling throughout the organisation. This is in addition to the ink selection as discussed above and in their advice to all clients on the environmental implications of paper selection and usage.
