Borderlands are one of the few game to keep as much of the original drawings of the animation as they could. They have also outlined all the characters with black to give them a realistic shade.

What's the different between borderlands 1 and 2?

Borderlands 2 has a lot of more space in which you can explore and they have improved the graphics of the characters and of the bandits they also have updated the borderlands colour pallet there are more bright colours than in borderlands one.
