Case description Assignment

Students’ grades for English in form 5 A are low compared to those of the year before and to those of students in similar contexts (general education, rural area, etc.).

There are 23 students aged 16-17 in this fifth form. Their main course is mathematics.

Overall the grades are too low, but English strikes the eye.

The head of school invites the English teacher in his office and presses him/her to boost the results.

The teacher and the head agree to apply PDCA in order to improve the students’ grades.

Provide a series of helpful ideas and place them on the PDCA wheel (see wallchart)
