We know you are excited about all of the opportunities the new library will bring. We, the staff of the Library, are just as excited. As the opening of the new library approaches, we want everyone to discover something new in the Library. Come in and discover our books on e- readers or check out our e-magazines on Zinio. Attend one of our many programs for people of all ages. Take a computer class, or yoga class, or tai chi class. They’re free! Or, just come in and use our public computers. What you will discover is that there is always something going on at the Li- brary. You’ll discover new subjects, authors, or even magazine titles you never know existed. Most of all, you will discover the wonder within you! Check out our new logo. It exemplifies this new era of wonder. With this new year, we wanted to share our new vision for the delivery of library services to our community. We are very grateful for the opportunity to work with a very talented creative designer, Terry Wilson. Terry is from Petersburg but lives in Northern Virginia and has worked with us for months on a new brand for the Library. We believe more than ever before that we will have the tools to fulfill our mission of “providing citizens equitable access to evolving information and resources which will enable them to enhance their quality of life.” Come. Discover the wonder within you at the Petersburg Public Library. Wayne M. Crocker Director of Library Services
