Don’t forget…5th grade Safety Patrol members will be joining Mrs. Matts and myself on a fun-filled, educational field trip to St. Augustine this Tuesday, May 8th. Students need to be at school no later than 7:00 that morning, as the bus will be leaving at 7:15 sharp. We should be returning by 6:00 pm.

For this field trip, students should wear their red HLA t-shirts and comfortable walking shoes. They should also bring a large lunch, a snack, and plenty of water. In addition, I would recommend sunscreen, a book or sketchbook for the bus ride, and some cash. While money isn’t necessary at the Castillo de San Marcos, Flagler College, or the Lightner Museum, we will have some free time to explore the shops on St. George Street. Please don’t allow your children to bring anything expensive or irreplaceable. I hope that this is a memorable trip to celebrate a fantastic year!
