I was wearing a kelly-green, wide-wale corduroy peacoat, with a matching poor-boy shirt and my Beatle boots from Anello and David; I wanted to look totally English. Ed introduced us as his “dear little paisans…the current sensations of the recording field…Sonny and Chur.” Sonny and Chur? We sang three songs on that show-”I Got You Babe,” “But You’re Mine,” and “Where Do You Go?”-and the whole time all I kept thinking was, I’m on national television, and Ed Sullivan just called me Chur!
