4G SERVICE FOR IPHONE 5C & 5S CUSTOMERS

Great news, 4G service for iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c customers is ready. If your customers are in an area with 4G coverage and have a 4G tariff, they can now get connected to O2’s 4G service. To do this, customers will need to update the carrier settings on iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.

There are two ways for customers to update their carrier settings.

• They can tap Settings > General > About. Then follow the prompt to complete the carrier settings update.

• Or they can connect to iTunes. They will be prompted instantly to update their carrier settings. Customers need to accept the update.

Once they’ve done either of the methods above, they’ll be able to see the 4G symbol on their iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c when they’re in a 4G coverage area.

What about the £5 bill credit?Customers who purchased a 4G tariff through Indirect channels before 28 September 2013 will see a one-off £5 bill credit on their first bill. Customers who purchased a 3G tariff are not eligible for a £5 bill credit.

STEP ONE Tariff Line rental for 079xxxxxxxx = £25. Cash advance paid at 40% = £10 per month or £240 over 24 months.

STEP TWO In this example the total monthly spend on the O2 spend report was £42. The total rev share adjustment for the month stated is £6.80

STEP THREE £42 - £25 = £17overspend on their basic line rental. Therefore you are owed 40% of £17 which works out at £6.80. If this figure doesn’t appear to be correct you can query your rev share.

HOW UPGRADE RECONCILIATIONS ARE CALCULATED

Identify customer’s monthly line rental & calculate 40% of this for the correct monthly rev share advance figure. The total rev share advance for the contract will be this value x the number of months in the contract.

Run an O2 Customer Spend report from the Partner Portal to determine the actual spend.

Run an O2 Customer Spend report from the Partner Portal specifying the month you are checking. See fig 1.

Calculate 40% (mobile spend only) of the total customer spend as displayed in the report in step 1. This will be your rev share due figure.

To check what rev share advance we have paid you for that month take the total spend as detailed in the report and minus the set rev share advance fee as established in step 1.

Please check tracker in the accounts section of the Partner Portal to see how much you have been paid in total.Enter relevant network and MPN and search. Then select main screen and look at Financial Status section. This will show you the total commission amount paid to date. See fig. 1.

A greater spend than the rev share advance figure indicates overspend on the account and this will have been paid at 40% of the total overspend. If the spend is less than the rev share advance figure you calculated at step 1 then that means the customer has paid less than their contracted line rental which will result in a partial clawback of the upfront rev share payment. A common cause of this is a bill credit.

These calculations take into account the commissions we advanced you and any term fees applied by O2. WHAT IS POP UP OFFICE:

With O2’s new Pop Up Office your customers can create their own portable 4G mobile hotspot instantly. The possibilities are endless. Pop Up Office allows them to create a 4G hotspot with a mobile Wi-Fi device whenever and wherever they are. This is a great solution if your customer has a variety of devices (laptops, tablets, smartphones) and want to hook up to a 4G connection when they’re out and about.

It’s so easy that it only takes a few minutes to create a mobile office. They can connect up to ten other devices to the Internet, email and access all their usual business applications. Because the hotspot is 4G-ready, the devices can use O2’s 4G network whether they’re 4G-compatible or not. The 4G mobile hotspot (also known as a mobile Wi-Fi device) is small and lightweight. Your customer also has the option to select a data allowance to suit different users – with the option to cap allowances.

Connect your customers to the 5GB tariff by 31st October 2013 and as a special introductory offer, O2 will give them 8GB of data each month - this is the usual data allowance of 5BB and an extra 3GB! This increase lasts for the full duration of their 24 month contract.

CONNECTION PROCESS: Available on 24 and 36 month contracts and is not subject to tenure based discounts. Customer must have a BT Wholesale analogue line connected at their premises. NB you can take an order for this at the same time. Customers don’t have to subscribe to an O2 business landline in order to get broadband. Existing broadband services can be transferred to O2 - please get your customer to get a MAC key from their existing service provider. Please note: O2 business broadband cannot be supported over ISDN lines. In some instances the customer may have configured or subscribed to a service to the BT provided line that is not compatible with O2 business broadband. In this case O2’s availability checkers will advise you so you can discuss with your customer and confirm a compatible line.

PROCESSINGLANDLINE

24 HOUR SLA. Submit a ticket on http://support.partners.carphonewarehouse.com with the completed JUC and a list of the numbers wanting to transfer to O2. There is no need for you to download the JUC form as we will do this on your behalf.

24 HOUR SLA. We will send a request to O2 for the customer to be credit vetted for their new account or on their existing mobile account. Provided the customer has passed the credit vetting we will return the JUC to you for the generated contract to be signed.

5 Day SLA. You ask your customer to read through and sign the attached contract then dealer respond to the existing ticket on the support suite attaching a copy of the signed page of the contract.

We will then send the completed details to O2 to be implemented and obtain a date for the transfer or new install which we will let you know as soon as possible. On the date that the lines transfer/go live we will enter the numbers into our system to generate your connection information, you will then need to claim your commissions through the normal O2 procedures.

Delays in getting a survey of the site done by Openreach could extend any SLA. This is required prior to install.

OTHER COSTS THAT CUSTOMERS WILL NEED TO BE AWARE OF: Business Movers Charge – customers are allowed one change of address per year FOC, any additional changes after that will incur a £50 charge. Express Cancellation Charge - if customers want to disconnect O2 business broadband straight away rather than waiting the 30 day notice period, then a £15 charge applies. Reactivation charge £10 - if the customer account is suspended e.g. delayed bill payment. Reconnection charge £15 - if the customer has to be reconnected e.g. Landline provider disconnects landline for not paying a bill. Termination prior to contract end date – customers will be charged for remainder of period. i.e. Cost of monthly line rental x number of remaining months (pro-rata if mid month.) O2 Router - this remains the property of O2. If the customer terminates their contract and does not return the router within 30 days, O2 reserve the right to charge a £50 fee.

Business Movers Charge – customers are allowed one change of address per year FOC, any additional changes after that will incur a £50 charge. Express Cancellation Charge - if customers want to disconnect O2 business broadband straight away rather than waiting the 30 day notice period, then a £15 charge applies. Reactivation charge £10 - if the customer account is suspended e.g. delayed bill payment. Reconnection charge £15 - if the customer has to be reconnected e.g. Landline provider disconnects landline for not paying a bill. Termination prior to contract end date – customers will be charged for remainder of period. i.e. Cost of monthly line rental x number of remaining months (pro-rata if mid month.) O2 Router - this remains the property of O2. If the customer terminates their contract and does not return the router within 30 days, O2 reserve the right to charge a £50 fee.
