Campus Visitors & Student Safety Visitors must:
● ALWAYS have a government-issued ID to enter BHE.
● Show ID at the access panel in the foyer AND at the front counter.
● Wear a RAPTOR badge in a visible location (preferably on the upper portion of the shirt).
● Wear a RAPTOR badge indicating area of the building they will be volunteering/visiting. Access to other areas is prohibited.
Lunch Visitors Helpful Hints:● Lunches from home - bring a
separate water bottle/drink for lunch
● Plastic wear, ketchup/ranch not provided for home lunches
● Lunch Visitors - Parents/Grandparents only
● Limited seating - Visitor Table only accommodates 16 seats: 8 adults with 1 student each
● Seating is for the parent/grandparent and the student only
● New this year - Campuses must provide Pre-K Family seating area (for pre-k families only)
Lanyards & IDsAll students:● receive a blue BHE Lanyard and an ID badge● wear IDs to lunch, library, and at the
discretion of the teacher● use school-issued lanyards
Replacement cost is $3 for ID & $2 for lanyard

Birthday TreatsAll birthday treats:
● MUST be store bought with ingredients clearly labeled
● MUST be peanut-free● MUST be in individual servings
If sending treats, parents are encouraged to have students bring them to school. Items must be brought to school by 9:45 AM.
Suggested Treats:
● Store bought Donuts ● Rice Krispie Treats (individually
packaged)● Store bought cookies
Not permitted:● Items not labeled with
ingredients● Popsicles● Cakes
Deliveries ● Lunches are delivered to the “Forgotten Lunch
Table” outside the cafeteria● Any items MUST be brought to school by 9:45 AM
to be delivered● Student work will be delivered to the teacher’s
mailbox; it will be picked up at the teacher’s convenience (homework delivered to school by the parent is considered late)
Change of Transportation ● For student safety, transportation changes must be sent in
the form of a handwritten note or fax with a parent signature. ○ Please DO NOT send an email requesting a change of
transportation; Emails requesting a change of transportation will not be accepted
● Change of transportation forms may also be filled out at the front desk
Arrival and Dismissal Parent arrival and dismissal procedures should be followed to ensure the safety of students and parents. The expectations are posted on the BHE website under parent resources and hard copies can be picked up at the front office .

Rainy Day Dismissal Rainy day dismissal will be called due to inclement weather by 3:15 PM. Please make sure you sign up for the BHE text alerts by texting @BHE to 81010.
Parents will be alerted by text if rainy day dismissal will be in effect.
Rainy day dismissal is slower than normal dismissal; please be patient.
