RESIDENTS MAY NOW USE ANY OF TOWNSHIP TRANSFER STATIONS FOR RECYCLING, ORGANICS OR GARBAGE DROP OFF
All residents may use ANY of the Township Transfer Sites to recycle your materials and dispose of your
waste. We have services to enable you to bring your organics to each site for composting. Please
Recycle and Compost as much as possible. Bulky waste must be taken to Sno Drifters and any remaining
waste can be taken to the site of your choice and managed in our collection containers.
The Curbside collection schedule is also available on our website or a hardcopy of the schedule can be
picked up at the municipal office. Tags must be placed on all bags and they are $2.00 each.

Please note: The Sno Drifters site can be opened on a call-in basis as long as staff are in the
area. This will result in an opening fee of $35 plus the cost of your weighted load. This site
accepts cash only.
Included in your March Tax Bill there is a FREE Voucher for use at the SnoDrifters Site
exclusively. This voucher permits up to 550 kg’s for FREE. If your load weighs over this
amount then you will be responsible to pay the amount over and above this weight.
The FREE Voucher is only given out to properties in which have a dwelling or building on the
property. We are no longer giving Vacant parcels of land free vouchers as they do not
accumulate bulky items or construction materials.

As part of the commitment of the Council of the Township of Bonnechere Valley to greening the
environment a Municipal Hazardous and special waste depot is permanently established at the
Sand Road Transfer Station located at 953 Sand Road.
The depot is only open during the summer hours.
Council continues to maintain its blue box program and encourages residents to recycle all
acceptable materials.
