High Quality, Affordable Donor Recognition Solution for Public Library For more than 30 years, the Bondurant Community Library has served the literary and community needs for the people of central Iowa. Due to the steady population growth in the region and because the need for technology services became more urgent, a new and larger facility was constructed. The new 7,365 square foot facility, which was designed by FEH Architects, was made possible through public dollars and generous donations from local area businesses and citizens. The new facility now provides public Internet computer stations, an outdoor patio, a fireplace, and a Community Meeting Room capable of holding 90 persons that is available to the public for meetings. To honor the donors that made the new library possible, the library management determined that a donor recognition system was needed. Because the donor recognition system was designed after the facility was completed, the funding available was limited. However, the solution had to have a premium appearance and aesthetically complement the new architectural design of the library. Bondurant Community Library asisignage.com | 800.274.7732

High Quality, Affordable Donor Recognition Solution for Public Library

For more than 30 years, the Bondurant Community Library has

served the literary and community needs for the people of central

Iowa. Due to the steady population growth in the region and

because the need for technology services became more urgent,

a new and larger facility was constructed. The new 7,365 square

foot facility, which was designed by FEH Architects, was made

possible through public dollars and generous donations from local

area businesses and citizens. The new facility now provides public

Internet computer stations, an outdoor patio, a fireplace, and a

Community Meeting Room capable of holding 90 persons that is

available to the public for meetings.

To honor the donors that made the new library possible, the library

management determined that a donor recognition system was

needed. Because the donor recognition system was designed after

the facility was completed, the funding available was limited.

However, the solution had to have a premium appearance and

aesthetically complement the new architectural design of the library.

About the Solution

ASI worked directly with the library management and with the

interior designers at FEH to design, fabricate and install a complete

and functional interior donor recognition signage system that

beautifully complements the library’s interior design. The finished

donor system includes a symmetrical donor recognition wall and

smaller, individual donor recognition signs which adorn the walls

throughout the library. The smaller donor recognition signs use

the same materials as the main donor wall, the smaller signs are

designed to mirror the look of the main donor wall. In addition to

the interior signs, ASI created cast plaques for the main entrance of

the library and for the base of the flag pole.

The donor solution uses a combination of 30/30 acrylic and 3form’s

Varia Ecoresin “Cirque” material. In addition to being visually

appealing, the Varia Ecoresin material is also eco-friendly because

it is made from 40% pre-consumer recycled resin, the donor

recognition plaques are held together and simultaneously secured

to the wall with satin aluminum stand-off fasteners, which allows

for easy updates in the future.
