Introduction

•Because of a widespread and common understanding and acceptance of the need for golf to transform, Boland Ladies Golf has adopted the custodianship of this transformation charter.

•Ownership of the charter needs to be embraced by the broader golfing fraternity in South Africa and all golfing stakeholders need to be active participants in the implementation of the goals of the charter.

Transformation Priorities

•To Implement a sustainable Transformation Charter•To improve the demographic representation within the sport of golf•To promote golf for females•To promote and encourage golf as a school sport•To liaise and integrate student golfers•To further standards and increase the numbers of high performance golfers•To educate and enable talented golfers to proceed successfully in the sport•To raise funding to facilitate the participation of all within the sport of golf•To encourage affiliated golf clubs to ‘open their doors’ to all with affordable membership packages•Awareness and education programmes for members of the golf industry
