• Choose a body part (keep it PG!) that is typically not focused on in traditional artwork, making it the “central figure” or “portrait” in your work.

• Ideas:– Eyes, eyeballs -Shoulders– Ears -Hips– Lips -Hair– Hands, fingers -Arms– Feet, toes -Legs

• Keep your subject matter limited to only one part (avoid whole faces or large portions of the body)

• Use color, size/scale, and repetition (multiple images of the same part) to create visual interest

• Think of what you would like to communicate to the viewer. – How do you want the viewer to feel?– What do you want the viewer to understand?
