Body and Innovation.

The starting point of my project is the observation of society, understood as a system of interactions and influences, passing through exponents of an artistic phenomenology, designers, medical and digital disciplines.

This results in a search for form, intended as an analysis of a garment to be inhabited that may contain a body in constant mutation but which is also the translation of the phenomenon of Body art which, since the 1970s, which has allowed the body to reshape itself, to in fact it is customary to define it as a transit from the organic body to a postorganic body.

In the project also, I propose to investigate the sequence and the inventive, design and operational mode, I personally obtaining a 3D textile product that is closely connected to an organic fabric, inspired by human cells, tissues and organs, first creating a module , a 2D pattern(then printed on fabric) and subsequently 3D.

Superzoom work printed by me

Using this to reach (together with the modeling study) a set of garments that allow us to dwell on the concept of "wearing the body" by building

another on it and that the latter becomes, through the dress, the elements, the fabric, surfaces, abusing digital, a body to redesign.

The processIn the case of my experience, to make the project feasible I proceeded through several phases:- Research (medical texts)

- 2D Form Ideation (Adobe Illustrator)

- 2D Pattern Creation (Adobe Illustrator)

- Import into 3D graphics program (Blender / Sketch up)

- Creation of volumes

- Slicing (Ultimaker Cura)

- Printing phase (Ender 3 Pro printer)

- The filaments used by me in the project are exclusively flexible types and can subsequently be assembled with the 3D pen.TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) It is a flexible (non elastic) filament. I used parameters similar to those used for other elastomers: low speed, minimal or no retractions, etc.FlexySmart is part of this category (elastic result and recovers the original shape after subjecting it to traction or pressure)- Assembling elements (I used the 3D pen)- Improvement

The Project

The project presents a turtleneck sweater with a classic structure overcoat, worn by resting it on the shoulder (armhole transferred to the Center Back, band inserted on the shoulder as a support to wear it). Trousers with buttoning printed and designed by me in 3D, inserts in 3D fabric at the knee level and to complete the outfit: double-stitched grosgrain band, 3D pattern belt and shoes with 3D insert.

Lining

Non-fitted line sweater, doubled collar, 14 cm high, finishing the hem and sleeves with double stitching.

At the end of my project, I believe that 3D printing introduced in clothing can reproduce volumes never obtained before. Apart from the aesthetic aspect, I believe that this technology can also be the turning point in terms of consumption, because a printed product is not subject to wear and therefore usable

indefinitely and the filaments of recycled and eco-sustainable material are increasingly popular.
