Mode of Action Imazapic is a member of the Imidazolinone group of herbicides which effectively disrupt the acetolactate synthase in the meristematic tissue. The ALS enzyme is crucial for protein development and plant function in the growing points of young plants therefore herbicides from this group are most effective on younger weeds. Imidazolinone symptoms in treated weeds include stunting with interveinal yellowing (chlorosis) or purpling. Hexazinone is a member of the Triazinone sub-group of the Triazine group of herbicides and is taken up by both foliar and root absorption and inhibits photosynthesis by blocking the photosynthetic electron transport chain between photosystem 1 and 2. Triazinone symptoms tend to be wilting of the lower leaves followed by outer edge chlorosis of the younger leaves which then leads to necrosis from the outside or tip of the leaf. When to Use BOBCAT ® i-MAXX SG Post-emergence Applications in Plant Cane Use Rate: 500 - 630 g/ha PLUS 1.6 L/ha of Spraytop ® 250 Apply as a carefully directed spray to the base of the plant and to weeds in the inter-row space after final hill formation, avoiding contact with Sugarcane foliage. Soil should be well prepared and as free as possible from clods. DO NOT apply in the planting furrow in plant cane. Mode of Action

Imazapic is a member of the Imidazolinone group of herbicides which effectively disrupt the acetolactate synthase in the meristematic tissue.
