Parking Permits Parking permits are on sale at both Texas State University Campuses and online. Students can pay in person by cash, check, or credit card. Permit payment can not be added to tuition. Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) Do you have too many interests to pick one major? Perhaps your career goals would benefit from expertise in more
than one area. Consider the Bachelor of General Studies (BGS). The BGS is an undergraduate degree program that
provides a new opportunity for Texas State University Round Rock Campus (RRC) students. The BGS program
combines three RRC minors, two General Studies courses for an interdisciplinary, personalized degree. Students
combine the three minors that best enhance their individual, career, and educational goals. Majoring in General
Studies offers a wide variety of employment options and allows students to build a unique skill-set that will help them
succeed in the workforce after graduation.
Students can choose from the following minors offered at the RRC: Business Administration; Criminal Justice;
Mass Communication; Computer Science; Mathematics; Psychology; Forensic Psychology; English (Online ONLY);
Sociology (Online/Hybrid ONLY).

TExES Practice Exam Information
Texas law requires that individuals seeking to become
teachers in Texas must pass the TExES in order to
become certified. In order to receive a barcode to take the
TExES, one must first take the required practice exams.
Practice exams are scheduled at the Round Rock Campus,
Avery 455 on the following dates: September 28, October
26, and November 23. Practice exams are scheduled at the
San Marcos campus for September 7, October 5, and
November 11. You may take the practice exams at the
location that is most convenient for you. There is no charge
for the practice exam, but you must register online in

Teacher Certification Exam Information
Texas law requires every person seeking educator
certification to perform satisfactorily on comprehensive
exams. The purpose of these exams is to ensure that each
educator has the necessary content and professional
knowledge to perform effectively in Texas public schools.

Veterans Affairs Gi Bill - As soon as you register, submit the VA Certification Request for Fall 2013 to Jill Seidenberger, Avery 201.
Hazlewood Exemption - Regular and Legacy: If you have used the exemption at Texas State in the past, you do not need to
do anything unless there is a break in enrollment. Hazlewood paperwork is due by September 11, 2013 (12th class day).
Disabled Veterans - Disabled Veterans are exempt from permit fees, but still must register their vehicle with Parking
Services.
Tuition & Fee Payment Plan Deadlines: 2nd installment is due Oct. 4, 2013 by 5 p.m., 3rd installment is due
Nov. 1, 2013 by 5p.m. A $25 late payment fee will be assessed if installment payment is not paid in full by the due date.
Emergency Tuition Loans: Payment is due in full on Nov. 1 by 5 p.m. Emergency Tuition Loans are subject to $25/month
late payment fee each month the loan is delinquent.
Short Term Loans: Payment is due in full by Nov. 1 by 5 p.m. Short term loans are subject to $5/ month late payment fee
each month the loan is delinquent.
