We can pick you up or drop you off at any location along our route; this fact also applies to hotels, Holland Casino, party and conference locations. In addition, we have special arrangements with a brewery and the Dom Tower. There are plenty of things to experience in the lively city of Utrecht!

Book an enjoyable party cruise for your company, family or wedding party. Our tour boats and party boats, which are suitable for all seasons, can be used for boat trips in or around Utrecht throughout the year. Alongside our standard trips, you can also request customised group tours with any kind of catering or entertainment on board. We have many years of experience and enjoy trying out new things.

CITY TOURS

We offer boat tours of Utrecht all year round. Rederij Schuttevaer is a Utrecht-based family business which was set up in 1960. We enjoy tellingyou about the past and the future, what is and what was, and what youcertainly shouldn’t miss in this wonderful city that dates back to Roman times. In addition to offering canal tours of Utrecht, we also cruise downthe Kromme Rijn river to Rhijnauwen as well as down the Vecht toMaarssen and Breukelen. Throughout our cruising territory, we offer party cruises, weddings, birthdays, company outings, meetings, family partiesand networking drinks parties.

In good weather, we open the windows and roof hatches to ensure apleasant trip. When the weather gets fresher, we light the stove to keepyou warm.

Our new guide system speaks eight languages, a maximum of four on each tour. At our ticket office or when making your booking, you can select the right time for a tour in your own language.

From Utrecht city centre, you will cruise alongthe canals and the old course of the Rhine tothe forests of Amelisweerd. Along the way, you can admire the Utrecht canals and the Kromme Rijn, a winding river which offers many natural treasures. The flora and fauna are flourishing here.

During the trip, we regularly spot birds including kingfishers, common firecrests, redstarts, woodpeckers, and so on. At the stopover, you can enjoy delicious pancakesat Theehuis Rhijnauwen, lunch at otherrestaurants or a nice walk through the forests and meadows.

Afterwards, we will take you back to thecentre of Utrecht.

We are constantly renewing our fleet and renovating our boats to ensure that they meet current standards. You can get on and off the tour boats at various locations in the city of Utrecht. Booking is recommended.

MUSEUM TOURS

You can also combine a tour with a museum visit. Some museums are within walking distance of the departure location. For others, you will need to break your journey. You can get on or off at various points alongthe route, visit a museum and then continue your tour once again.Buy your discounted ticket at our ticket office and enjoy both the tourand the museum.

Below are a few examples of the many museums in Utrecht: MuseumSpeelklok, Centraal Museum, Railway Museum and Nijntje Museum. We sell combined tickets for a boat tour and museum visit, or tickets for the boat tour alone.

BOAT TRIP TO RHIJNAUWEN on Wednesdays and Sundays

Every day of the week, all year round, our boats offer 1-hour tours through the centre of Utrecht. The first tour leaves at 11 am, after which they are scheduled on the hour every hour. The last tour leaves at 5 pm. There are more frequent tours at weekends andduring holiday periods: every half hour or every 20 minutes. The tours also continue until later into the evening during these times.

The longer tour takes in all thebeautiful Utrecht canals over a period of 1.5 hours: the old historic centre with the Oudegracht, the Catharijnesingel, the Stads-buitengrachten and the reopened Singel. Travel with us throughthe narrow Utrecht canals andenjoy this tour, which passes under numerous bridges. These longer tours run from at least April to October.
