Code of Ethics We believe in the inherent dignity and worth of all men. We believe that every man has natural and social rights, capacities and responsibilities to develop his full potentials as a human being. We believe that the government and the people have a joint responsibility to promote social justice and to ensure the economic and social well-being of all people. We believe in free men freely living in a free society where poverty is neither a fate or a punishment but is a condition that can and must be changed. We are committed to the development of the highly fulfilled human beings in an atmosphere or social equity and economic prosperity. We are committed to seek a higher quality of life for all people. We bind ourselves to the following principles of conduct: The social worker shall endeavor to contribute his utmost to nation building. The social worker shall give paramount importance to the well-being of those whom he helps. The social worker shall accept with respect and understanding his clients, colleagues and all those who come within his sphere of professional activity. The social worker shall engage in social action which according to his convictions will further the best interests of the people and country. The social worker shall create and or avail of opportunities for continuing profession growth. The social worker shall at all times conduct himself in accordance with the standards of the social work profession.
