Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance were led in the previous NALMLS Meeting. MOTION: To approve the HAAR Consent Agenda Motion Carried. Secretary/Treasurer Kathy Mann presented the August 2013 Financials.

Notes to HAAR 2013 August Financial Statement HAAR Balance Sheet The HAAR balance sheet currently reflects total assets of $1,180,336 compared to $8,800 in liabilities. 97% of the current assets are in cash, CD, money market or restricted reserves. HAAR Profit and Loss Statement / Income Statement Income line 152513 - HAAR Dues 2013 reflects dues collection for 1,724 members (only 1,440 members were budgeted for 2013). Income line 1503 - Application fee reflects 136 new members and 7 returning members. Income line 1527 - Education Income is related to the sponorship of classes and registration fees. The expense is reflected on line 1776. The net for 2013 is $3,692. Income line 1527.1 - Orientation Income is attributable to the sponorship of Orientations for 2013. The cooresponding expense is shown on line 1864. The net for 2013 is $3,234. Income line 1530 - Miscellaneous Income includes sponsors for Realtor Day and Past President / Brokers Breakfast as well as vendor discounts. Income line 1533.1 - Technology Expo shows receipt of $1000 in sponsorship. Expense line 1854.1 - Technology Expo shows the expenses incurred as of August. Projected Income is $2,250, projected expense is $2,243. Expense line 18561 - Janitoral Services is below budget due to fewer cleaning supplies being ordered. The HAAR Income Statement reflects total income of $507,143 and total expense of $362,789 as of August 2013. The Net Income is $144,353 which is $53,674 more than budgeted for August. CONTRACT RENEGOTIATIONS: The janitorial contract was renegotiated mid-2012 for a savings of $8,844. The window cleaning contract was cancelled in 2013 for a savings of $600. In 2012, HAAR spent $815 in postage to return defective items to Supra. In 2013, the member began paying HAAR for this service: $5 lockbox, $5 key, $2.50 adapter, $2.50 fob. This has resulted in $94 savings to HAAR.

Reserve Goals Update The HAAR reserve goal for 2013 is $646,871. Secretary/Treasurer Kathy Mann presented the motions from the October 15, 2013 Finance and Budget Committee meeting

MOTION: To establish a checking account to receive contributions for the Texie Wilson Education Scholarship Fund. Rationale: The family of Texie Wilson approached Jim Hoekenschnieder, broker of Legend Realty, about establishing a memorial fund. The intent of the memorial fund is to assist new Realtors with their membership related financial obligations for their first year. Motion Carried. PRESIDENTS REMARKS President Julie Lockwood CEO UPDATE CEO, Kipp Cooper shared with everyone that there is a presence of moisture on the walls in the upstairs conference room, so they are working on getting it remediated and repaired.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Governmental Affairs Committee Chair Steven Lamar reported that he met with Kipp and the ARPAC Committee chair and they are reorganizing for the upcoming election year. Affiliate Director Craig Paulus said he is working on dates for the final affiliate meeting in November. CRS President Elect Kathy Mann gave an update gave an update on the Class on October 24-25

th and said there are still some

spaces left. WCR President Cindi Peters Tanner reported that their next meeting will be the annual tailgate event on November 13

th and

that they are thrilled to announce that they were able to present a check for $2500 to the Harris Home for Children REALTORS in Action Chair Betty Hughes said they have one more meeting this year and that the chair next year will be Jim Johnson. HAAR Balance Sheet

The HAAR balance sheet currently reflects total assets of $1,193,984 compared to $13,484 in liabilities.

96% of the current assets are in cash, CD, money market or restricted reserves.

HAAR Profit and Loss Statement / Income Statement

Income line 1503 - Application fee reflects 155 new members and 8 returning members.

Income line 152513 - HAAR Dues 2013 reflects dues collection for 1,744 members (only 1,440 members

were budgeted for 2013).

Income line 1533.1 - Technology Expo reflects income of $2,250 and expense line 1854.1 - Technology Expo reflects expenses of

$2,404 resulting in a net income loss for September of $154.46. The remaining sponsor payment posted in October for a final

net income of $95.54.

Income line 1539 - GMM Luncheon is attributable to the collection of prepaid reservations as well as the paid monthly reservations.

The offsetting expense is on line 1843 - Membership Meetings. The average attendance for paid and comp reservations is 163.

The janitorial contract was renegotiated mid-2012 for a savings of $8,844.

The window cleaning contract was cancelled in 2013 for a savings of $600.
