Dear Rhiannon Ridgway This a letter of application for the temporary position of Warehouse Controller, weekend night shifts. About me I am a proud father of 3, 2 boys one 20 and one 2 and a one daughter of 19. I am also a happily married man of 22 years and I have a number of hobbies and interests. My first is my family and most important as everything at work I do, the effort, determination, commitment I put in is for them. My second passion is cars/mechanics. There is nothing more I enjoy then restoring old classic cars, my current project is an old American van and there is nothing more my 2 year old loves than trying to get involved in working with me working on the car. As for me, I am looking for a positive career move and I am willing to learn all that I can. I have a natural problem solving ability when presented with an impossible task. I also like to set myself a personal challenge to better myself and my work on a daily basis. I have strong leadership skills with the ability to convince others, and I have good man- management skills. My relevant experience to the position I am applying for . My experience is that of running a complete Autostore system consisting of 20 A.G.V.s / 13 very narrow isle cranes / 5 fork lift trucks / hyra-rolls trailers and up to 50 employees / 86 inbound and outbound spurs / 3 reach truck / A full case pick area consisting of a further 22 isle . These duties also included releasing and monitoring and prioritisation of the released workloads to insure customer demand was meet on time and in full. Re-spotting/pointing A.G.V.s / monitoring the A.G.V.s for performance related issues to insure they run at maximum efficiently this would include such things as overriding the system orders to prioritise local urgent requests / managing and carrying out low end maintenance and repairs where and when needed Also insuring the timeliness of the trailer schedule is being loaded and unloaded on time in relation to stock replenishment. Also another major part of my experience in running a Autorestore /A.G.V. system was the use of an auto-store system combining S.A.P. systems, these duties would include indexation of pallet identification / stock location allocation and stock related issues / receipt and accept of inbound loads / releasing and controlling the flow and the direction of works orders. I also dealt with smooth day to day communications between departments and insuring a fully understood verbal and written hand over reports. This is just some of the duties undertaken by me during my time at Cadburys LTD as an A.G.V. controller administrator, which I have for 11 years.

Stock control / Location Management Duties included. Fully utilizing the complete warehouse space to maximise location usage. K.P.I.s for both goods in and goods out staff and drivers. To insure all targets set by cost effectively looking at ways to improve stock Location to increase picker productivity.

My duties included Maintaining & monitoring of the A.G.V. C- way system.

To insure A.G.V. s are kept moving and that both high bays are kept full so that the load plan is on time and in full, at a rate of 99.6% efficiency.Also the monitoring of indexation stock levels / staff and drivers K.P.I.s Receipting of Pallets on AUTOSTORE & C- way again to keep the running at peak efficiency.

Dealing with daily stock related issues. Hydrols. Liaise with both Lead Shift Managers & First Line Managers on the clearing of the inloads and output loads & coordinating the operations staff. Liaising with other A.G.V. Controllers to ensure a smooth hand over at the start & end of each shift. Project Management installing of Auto-store / dealing with shifts changes /

personal / crew deployment / cost reduction negotiations.
