Blue Mango uses a three-stage evaluation methodology to help you identify the most commercially attractive opportunities to pursue.

The first stage involves a primary screen to rapidly weed out poor opportunities. This is followed by assessing the market attractiveness for the leading opportunities.

The next stage of the process is to assess the competitive positioning of your company using a Key Success Factor analysis.

The final stage of the process is to identify the most viable options for for your organization and build an initial business case.

Doug Wilson

Doug is President of Blue Mango Innovation based in Charlotte, NC. Doug has a BSc in Chemistry, a PhD in Polymer Chemistry, and over 25 years experience in new business development in the field of advanced materials. For the last 10 years , Doug has been helping companies to accelerate new business development by improving their ability to innovate.

Marc Bolick

Marc is a marketing, and business development strategist who focuses on evaluating growth opportunities from a practical implementation perspective. He has a BSME from Clemson and an MBA and MBI (Masters of Business Informatics) from Rotterdam School of Management. Marc brings 22 years of experience in medical devices, telecoms, software, and new media.

John Connell

John has been providing technical consulting services since 2001. The consulting services cover a broad range of advanced materials . His background consists of over 25 years of experience as a senior polymer scientist in the Advanced Materials and Processing Branch at the NASA Langley Research Center.

Karl Froelich

Karl has 20 years of new business development and commercialization leadership in launching new technologies and products. Demonstrated success in creating and managing technology-based businesses in energy storage, membrane separations, filtration, medical device, green products, environmental solutions, and textile markets from concept to sales.

Gayle Jimenez

Gayle is a seasoned professional with considerable experience in creatively leading senior corporate teams to Breakthrough Growth Strategies, New Innovative Products and Services, and Organizational Transitions. Prior to co-founding Stratovation, Gayle spent nine years with IdeaScope Associates, a global innovation management consulting firm.

Howard Jones

A leader in the development of competency-based business development methodology, Howard has 25 years of experience in opportunity discovery. He combines technical content in materials processing, fluid and solid mechanics with a wide knowledge of end use markets from aerospace through to fast moving consumer goods. Howard earned a First Class Honours degree (BSc) in Theoretical Mechanics from the University of Nottingham, UK.

Steve Lang

Since 1990, working in the medical device and biotech industry, Steve has been engaged in New Business Development: developing strategic plans for a worldwide business, identifying, valuing, negotiating and delivering the acquisition of companies and technologies, the formation of joint ventures, divestment of non-core businesses, inward and outward licensing and formation of a variety of other strategic alliances on a cross-border and worldwide basis, including USA, Japan and Europe.

BobMammarela

Bob has over 25 years of technical experience and accomplishments in a broad range of technologies including chemistry, material science, thin films, coatings, and surfaces. His experience on the business axis runs from technology and intellectual property analysis to benchtop R&D; through pilot scale up and new business development; and to technical support of manufacturing, continuous improvement, and manufacturing quality systems.

Rich Maynard

Rich specializes in innovation process improvement, including core competency audits. He provides technical content in the fields of manufacturing, aerospace, medical devices, and coating. Rich has BS in Business Management from Southern Wesleyan University along with an MBA with an emphasis on international markets from the University of South Carolina.

David Phillips

David is an innovation practitioner who specializes in helping teams reframe their challenges in order to see them from different perspectives. He has a BS in Education from Louisiana Tech University and provides technical content in the areas of organizational development, product and process innovation practices, experience design, and change enablement.

ShariSims

Shari has a BS from University of North Carolina and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been practicing law for over 9 years. She joined Blue Mango Innovation in August 2009 and is responsible for contractual matters.
