Five ways to wellbeing awareness campaign

Blue Step were commissioned by Champs Public Health Collaborative based in Wirral to produce the visual identity and all creative outputs for a new campaign focused on raising awareness around the Five Ways to Wellbeing.

Following an intensive audience segmentation exercise, the final creative executed a photo shoot and a marketing package to nine different local authorities in the North West, including Liverpool, Cheshire and Chester. This package included brand guidelines and ready to print promotional material, billboards, social media templates, ad vans, banner stands and posters – to name a few!

Virgin Care campaign management

Virgin Care provides NHS and social care services across the UK, helping make a

real difference to people’s lives. They were looking for an agency to support and

supply them with a variety of campaigns including branded products, testing kits

and managing the design, print and implementation of C Card schemes. The design

team at Bluestep have consistently worked with Virgin Care for the past 3 years and

are continually coming up with new innovative ideas across multimedia platforms to help support the fantastic work Virgin Care offer.

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust came to us for help in designing and building 6x variations of self testing kits that cover Chlamydia, HIV, Hep B and Syphilis. Our brief from Birmingham was to make the kits compact, simple and easy to use but with all relevant print to make the service informative. We jumped at the chance to design and build the kits and have successfully created and implemented them into the focused areas in and around Birmingham. The kits have been designed to be patient friendly, easy to use, informative and all of this provided within a compact Royal Mail large letter approved box. UHB are now seeing an extremely high return rate along with a positive response from their patient audience.

Not Always A&E app

Having previously developed award winning Choose Well apps for the NHS, Blue Step were extremely excited to develop a refreshed and vibrant app for the area of Barking, Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge as part of the Not Always A&E campaign.

We created a handy app featuring a symptom checker, which advises users on the appropriate services to go to for a range of symptoms. The app is also able to locate local services such as GP surgeries, pharmacies, walk-in centres and minor injury units. The app features an interactive custom-built game that tests user knowledge against the clock.

Nottingham City CCG app promotion

Brook product promotions

Brook provides free and confidential sexual health and wellbeing services for nearly 250,000 young people UK-wide, each year and we’re thrilled to be supporting local services with promotional materials and marketing incentives to try to help young people make positive and healthy lifestyle choices and improve their personal health and emotional wellbeing.

We are proud to be sponsoring the Brook Clinical Conference 2016 in which Brook’s clinical leaders, Head of Nursing and Nurse Managers from each service, with key external speakers and professionals are attending.

Blue Step created an offline marketing strategy for their new healthcare app which allows users to locate their nearest local healthcare services. Our in-house design team produced advertising material for billboards, bus shelters and train stations situated in high footfall areas. We carried out more localised targeting, sending out marketing packs to libraries, leisure centres, GP practices, clubs and bars featuring a unique QR code, which could be used to download the app on the spot. To launch the campaign, we unleashed our tech-friendly outreach team to run engagement events, armed with bespoke incentives we’d designed and sourced. The campaign was a huge success resulting in download rates that exceeded expectation. A comprehensive evaluation report for the CCG was produced using intelligence gathered from the events.

Nottingham City carers campaign

Nottingham City CCG needed to raise awareness amongst carers of the personal health issues associated with caring for a loved one and highlight the help and support available to this community.

Blue Step devised a city-wide campaign a produced all deliverables in house. This included the development, shoot and design of the creative concept, followed by implementation of marketing collateral across a variety of platforms to ensure maximum exposure to the target audience, from social media management to billboards, posters and bus shelter advertising.

Milton Keynes website & product development

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust were looking for an agency to support their current service with branded kits, print collateral and fun incentives that would enhance their Sexual Health service and increase their brand awareness across Milton Keynes. Bluestep’s design team have worked closely with the Milton Keynes Communications Team to design and create a comprehensive selection of bespoke testing kits & marketing tools that would be clearly identifiable amongst the target audience. We have continued to build our relationship with Milton Keynes and are currently developing their Sexual Health website!

Choose the Right Service schools campaign

Nottingham CCG asked Blue Step to deliver an impactful campaign to educate people on local healthcare services in order to combat unnecessary rising A&E numbers. Our unique strategy delivered engaging assemblies across a range of schools and we supplied all the session content, including lesson plans and script, student questionnaires, a prize draw and an interactive buzzer game to test the student’s knowledge and encourage active participation.

Serenity sexual assault awareness campaign

We were commissioned to create awareness for a confidential sexual assault referral centre; Serenity that was dual funded by the Police force and NHS. The nature of this project required a sensitive approach to outreach and engagement and to gain an insight into people’s perception of the legal definition of consent and the values attached. We delivered a strategic and quality intervention and engagement programme, using a team of people in various locations to emphasise that ‘sex without consent is rape’. We produced marketing collateral to reassure Serenity is a welcoming service offering access specialist doctors and medical help, health risk assessments, medical treatment and referrals, retrieval of forensic evidence, practical help, information and emotional support to any domestic violence, rape or sexual assault victim.

Lancashire facebook campaign

Best to Know, a service based in Lancashire were looking to create a Facebook campaign to create awareness about STI’s and the importance of staying protected whilst on summer holidays. The service offers help and information surrounding Chlamydia, the risks of having it and how easy it is to get tested to find out if you have got it. The project was going to be launched from their Facebook page and was to target young people planning a holiday, on a holiday or people who had recently returned from a summer holiday. Blue Step Solutions were commissioned to create and deliver this campaign for them. Our design team used an illustrative approach, keeping the mood of the campaign cheerful and summery.

Take Time to Talk mental health campaign

NHS West London CCG selected Blue Step to create a visual identity for

their Primary Care Mental Health Service and run a full scale campaign with

the aim of increasing their GP and self-referrals for over 18’s registered to a

GP in this area.

The new brand identity for the service includes the name, logo and brand

guidelines. Blue Step designed and built a website with information about

the service and carried the new branding through to posters, post cards,

promotional GP packs and a number of public engagement events across

West London.
