Blue Mountain is Ontario’s largest mountain resort, located just 90 minutes north of Toronto and 11km west of Collingwood. No longer known only for our spectacular skiing, the resort has become a four-season recreational, social and conference facility destination on the Niagara Escarpment, overlooking the Southern shores of Georgian Bay.

BLUE MOUNTAIN INN CONFERENCE CENTRESituated at the base of Blue Mountain adjacent to the Blue Mountain Inn, this beautifully designed conference centre offers guests beautiful, yet comfortable surroundings. With its rustic decor and sprawling views of the Niagara Escarpment, this facility provides a beautiful atmosphere for your special day.

SPECTACULAR VENUESOne of the uniquely spectacular things about the Blue Mountain area is the beautiful scenery created by the natural landscape of the Niagara Escarpment and the nearby shores of Georgian Bay.

Blue Mountain offers wedding ceremony and reception facilities accommodating up to 450 guests. From mountaintop tents to intimate banquet rooms, each location can be customized to provide the perfect setting for your own celebration.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW…

• The Mountain Top Ceremony Site is exclusive to guests who have booked their wedding reception with Blue Mountain.

• A Venue Rental Fee starting at $750.00 plus HST will be applied for any onsite wedding ceremony, including indoor and outdoor venues.

• The rental fee includes a standard ceremony set up including chairs, signing table, and tables for a DJ/musicians when required.

• The rental fee does not include an officiant, additional décor or entertainment.

• If you have booked an outdoor ceremony location, an indoor location will be held at no additional charge, in the case of inclement weather.

• Ceremony back-up location will be confirmed two weeks prior to the wedding date.

• Weather calls must be made a minimum of two hours prior to the ceremony start time.

• Outdoor venues are considered public space, and while we will do our best to ensure privacy, there may be some spectators during your ceremony.

• Complimentary shuttling is available to and from onsite ceremony locations for overnight guests (70-80 guests per hour).

• Gondola transportation to the top of the Mountain is available for an additional fee.

VILLAGE CONFERENCE CENTREThis visually stunning conference centre features breathtaking views of the mountain and of Georgian Bay. This state-of-the-art facility is located moments away from all accommodation types, all dining and shopping areas of the Village at Blue Mountain, the mountain slopes and the fairways of Monterra Golf. The facility aims to bring the beauty of the outdoors inside, featuring high ceilings with enormous beams, rustic open trussing and floor-to-ceiling windows.

• Reception space is included with your Wedding Package, and encompasses the following: tables, banquet chairs, linen (specified colours only), glassware, flatware, china, three votive candles per table, dance floor (size based on the number of guests), raised head table, podium and microphone, 2 complimentary easels, set up of the venue (excluding additional décor), serving and bar staff. Additional function space required will result in an additional charge to the final invoice.

• Reception space does not include additional décor or entertainment. Set up fees may apply if staff is required to assemble or stage additional décor items. Additional décor items and centerpieces must be approved by Blue Mountain prior to setting up.

• Blue Mountain will guarantee the primary reception room location 3 months prior to the wedding date. A secondary alternative location will be reserved at the time of booking, should the need arise to change the reception location.

AUDIO VISUAL• Blue Mountain Resort will provide a complimentary podium

package as part of the wedding package.• Any additional audio visual equipment or technical assistance

required for the function room can be provided at an additional charge.

• There are no additional charges for power accessed through our function rooms. Charges will apply for any additional power required over and above existing electrical outlets (i.e. bands, DJs, or additional lighting requirements).

• Any external audio visual or electronic equipment must meet the requirements of ESA (Electrical Safety Authority) standards.

RE:SOUND & SOCAN

According to Re:Sound license requirements and SOCAN Tariff #8, fees must be paid for all “receptions, conventions, assemblies and fashion shows” which include any form of live or recorded music. These fees are based on room capacity and can range from $125 +HST to $270 +HST.

These charges will be added to the final invoice, and are remitted to SOCAN and Re:Sound by Blue Mountain on behalf of the wedding couple.

BE OUR GUESTFood is an important factor at any wedding and we are sure to have the perfect menu to match your perfect day. Our Executive Chef and his team take food preparation and presentation seriously, and will create a dining experience your guests will never forget. Our professional staff provides superior service to you and your guests and will take care of every detail to ensure your day goes exactly how you envisioned it. Rehearsal dinners, menu tastings, cocktail receptions, buffets or plated dinners – your wish is ours to fulfill!

ALLERGY & SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDSBlue Mountain would like to assist those guests with special dietary needs and food allergies. We request a list of all dietary requirements, along with an associated severity level, prior to your group’s arrival. This will ensure our kitchen and banquet teams are fully prepared to service your guests on the day of your wedding.

MENU TASTINGSAs a part of the wedding package, we offer a complimentary menu tasting for the Bride & Groom. Menu tastings generally take place approximately 5-6 months prior to the wedding date, at the Pottery Restaurant – located at the Blue Mountain Inn.

CUSTOM MENUSWe understand that food is a personal journey, and sets the tone for any special event. Our Executive Chef is available to design personalized menus for your event. Additional charges may apply.

• Blue Mountain Resorts LP will abide by all Federal, Provincial and local laws with issues pertaining to food and beverage purchases.

• No outside food or beverage is to be brought into the function room at any time by any guest.• Wedding cakes may be brought in for your reception – no other external food and beverage will

be permitted.• Menus may be updated or changed between the time of booking, and the date of the wedding.

BANQUET BARSThe host/cash bar portion of your wedding includes the following items:• Premium Liquor• Domestic Beer• House Wine by the Glass• Coolers


• Premium brands and liqueurs are available for an additional fee.

• Specialty product requests are subject to additional fees.

PROVINCIAL LIQUOR LAWS• In accordance with the Alcohol and Gaming

Commission of Ontario, Blue Mountain Resort is responsible for the administration of the sale and service of alcoholic beverages within any function space.

• All liquor served at your event must be purchased through Blue Mountain Resort – no external alcohol will be permitted at any time, by any guest

• Service of liquor is permitted from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Entertainment must cease by 1 a.m. to allow the room to be vacated by 1:30 a.m.


There’s no need to worry about your out-of-town guests. Blue Mountain offers over 750 resort units ranging from beautiful boutique-style suites to cozy hotel rooms to suit all needs and budgets. Your guests will love the complimentary pools, fitness rooms, whirlpools, saunas and all of the

little extras that go along with being a guest at Blue Mountain. Whether you are looking for Village suites in the heart of the action, or a more secluded resort home, there is no shortage of lodging options to choose from.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

PHOTOGRAPHY• Use of resort grounds is permitted for wedding

photographs, with the exception of Monterra Golf Course.

RESORT SHUTTLING• On-resort shuttling is available for overnight

guests.

• Off-resort shuttling is available for an additional charge and can be arranged through your Event Manager.

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS


• All lodging guests attending weddings at Blue Mountain Resort will receive preferred discounted accommodation rates.

• All rooms are subject to availability. Wedding couples are not required to book a block of rooms on their wedding day; however it is highly recommended that they do reserve some rooms for their guests to ensure availability.

• Two or three night minimums may apply during peak periods. Please speak to your Sales Manager for further details.

• A booking letter is supplied to the wedding couple at the time of contract to assist their guests in making their overnight reservations.

• Resort check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Early check-in / late check-out requests will be considered however are not guaranteed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW …

• We are able to tentatively hold function space for your Resort wedding (based on availability) for two weeks from the time of contract creation.

• Within 14 days of receiving your contract we require the signed portion of your contract including a 25% deposit based on estimated guest numbers.

• Six months prior to your wedding a 50% deposit is due, and three months prior to your wedding, the final 25% deposit is due.
