Courses meet the requirements of Ofsted, the Health and Safety Executive, Department for Education and Employment under the Guidance on First Aid for Schools, registered childminders and nannies under the Approved Carers Scheme.

On successful completion of our courses learners will receive a nationally recognized certificate valid for 3 years.

COURSESEMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK – 1 DAYAIMThe aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the first aider.FORThe qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, parents, schools, leisure centres or in voluntary and community activities to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation.

FIRST AID AT WORK – 3 DAYSAIMThe aim of this course is to ensure learners understand the importance of safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace. This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience, for example, clerical, school, construction or engineering staff.FORThis first aid at work course is suitable for all companies, particularly those with a large number of employees or businesses working in a high-risk environment.

EMERGENCY PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID – 1 DAYAIMThe aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. FORThis qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid to children (including babies) when dealing with an emergency situation.


COURSESPAEDIATRIC FIRST AID – 2 DAYSAIMThe paediatric first aid course is for professionals whose occupation involves the care of infants and/or children. The course teaches you how to provide emergency care and first aid for children of all ages and infants of less than a year old. It meets the requirements of Ofsted, registered childminders and the requirements for nannies under the Approved Carers Scheme.FORSuitable for pre-school staff / nursery staff / play workers/ children centre staff / teachers / LSA’s & MTA’s / holiday camp workers / parent and toddler group volunteers/ foster carers / au pairs / mother’s helps / babysitters / community workers / youth workers / parents, grandparents, and individuals or families.

ACTIVITY FIRST AID – 2 DAYSAIMThis qualification is aimed at people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation.

FORAnyone who undertakes activities such as sports, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, personal trainers and gym instructors, Duke of Edinburgh Leaders/Supervisors, minibus drivers, sports coaches, PE teachers, or any staff working on site with young people involved in activities.

FIRST AID AT WORK REFRESHER COURSE – 2 DAYSAIMThis course is aimed to provide employees with updates on first aid protocols and the skills necessary to deal with a range of injuries and potentially life-threatening situations. It is suitable for those who already hold a current first aid at work certificate that is nearing expiry and who need to re-train to obtain a valid certificate.

FORThe qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide First Aid when dealing with an emergency situation.

ANNUAL REFRESHER TRAINING – HALF DAYAIMThe aim of this course is to refresh skills and knowledge, the Health and Safety Executive strongly recommend that all first aiders attend this annual update.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?You will practice techniques previously taught on your course, giving you the confidence and practical skills in an emergency situation.


CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) & AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATION (AED) - 1 DAYAIMThe aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with CPR and the use of the AED machine.FORThe CPR & AED course is suitable for all companies, small businesses, shopping and leisure centres who have an AED machine on their premises as well as anyone interested in furthering their first aid skills.

AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED) – HALF A DAYAIMThe aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with the use of an AED.

FORThe qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation.

FIRST PERSON ON SCENE (FPOS) – 3/5 DAYSAIMThe aim of the FPOS course is to provide learners with simple but effective skills and knowledge to enable them to provide immediate care in the first few minutes of an emergency.WHO IS IT FOR?Anyone who wishes to enhance their existing first aid knowledge or those involved in providing initial emergency care, such as Community Responders, Fire and Police Officers and security staff.
