Blow Room

Blow room is the initial process of the spinning operation where

the fibre is opened, cleaned, mixed, micro dust removed and

evened thus passed to carding machine.

Objects of Blow room:

1. To open the baled fibres into small tufts.

2. To clean the fibres by removing the foreign matter as the

waste.

3. To mix thorough the different component fibres of a mixing.

4. To form a compact & uniform sheet of fibres called lap.

Basic operation in the Blow room:

1. Opening

2. Cleaning

3. Mixing or Blending

4. Micro dust removal

5. Uniform feed to the carding machine

6. Recycling the waste

BlendomatBlendomat is a system in which, the bale is opened by

tufting.

It contains-

Working Principle

Here,

A and B are two roll’s which added teeth, C is the grid, 𝐷1,𝐷2, 𝐷3are the supporting roll’s and 𝐸1 and 𝐸2 are the leavers of A and B

roll connected with inversion mechanism.

Page 10: Blowroom Technology

Roll (A) and (B) with there fine teeth plug into the top

bale surface. The teeth actually pass through the sits of the

grid (C). Small tufts are picked by the teeth and are

thrown in the suction zone. Roll (A) and (B) work

opposite to each other. When A and B start tufting, both of

they are individually come down upto 10 m.m. on the

bale.

Tuftomat system

1. Modern tuft blending installations hold a key position in the value chain, because blending faults often become obvious only after finishing.

2. Trützschler tuft blending concept relies on reproducible top blend quality.

3. Ensures the perfect speed when blending natural and synthetic fibers of different lengths, fineness's and colours.

4. Mix six components in one process step and achieve optimal CV values.

Advantage of Integrated mixer

Opening with optimum quality chain

Simple and secure operation

Large bale lay-down

Flexible layout of bale groups

Advantage:

High capacities up to 2,000 kg/h

Precise the blending ratio.

Blending of up to 6 components per process step

Automatic tarning.

A lot of change in recipe memory.

Uniclean / Pre cleaning

Since removing finer trash particles is difficult, seeds andbigger trash particles should not be broken. Due to treatthis problem we have to use pre cleaning/uniclean.

The machine is made up of three parts

1. A storage section

2. An intermediate chamber

3. A delivery section

Storage and feeding machine UNIstore A 78

Page 20: Blowroom Technology

• The UNIstore A 78 is used as a storage, dedusting and feeder

machine in the blowroom.

• Its main purpose is to provide intermediate storage for

material in order to ensure trouble-free blowroom operation.

• The UNIstore A 78 is used where a mixing opener proves

unsuitable for financial, technical or technological reasons.

• The structure of the feeding and opening unit guarantees

gentle fiber opening.

• The UNIstore A 78 is used where a mixing opener proves

unsuitable for financial, technical or technological reasons.

• The integration of a mesh screen filter inside the UNIstore A

78 eliminates the transport air, and creates an efficient

dedusting.

• Maximum raw material utilization at carding output of up to 240 kg/h.

• The modular machine design reduces maintenance-related downtimes to a minimum. Efficient, gentle removal of trash particles facilitated by the higher centrifugal forces generated by the card geometry.

• Automatic sharpening of the card clothing with the Integrated Grinding System (IGS) for long clothing service life and consistent sliver quality.

• Gentle processing of man-made fibers and blends while meeting the highest quality targets
