PROJECT:- BLOOD DONATION CAMP Date :- 12 th JULY, 2009.

1.NAME OF THE PROJECT:-

Blood Donation Camp (organized in memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Ray).

2. Project place & date(duration):-

This project was arranged on 12th July, 2009 at Nanu Babur Bazar, Tollygunge.

3. Associates (partners):-

This “Blood Donation Camp” is an initiative taken by Shree Shakti Club in Tollygunge, who had invited WISH to join hands for the successful completion of this project.

4 . Description:-

Shree Shakti Club consists of some aged & respectable persons, who are quite established in their professional life. They perform many welfare activities every year. One of this, Blood Donation Camp, celebrate during the birth & death anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Ray (1st July).This club is located very close to Durgamandir, where WISH perform a “Free Certificated Course on Environmental studies & Basic Computer Education”. Shree Shakti Club thus came to know about the aims & activities of WISH and invited its members on the event of Blood Donation Camp.From the morning of 12th July, WISH was present there with its member, who took over the whole work, including announcement, registration of donors, maintaining the proper queue, giving food & gifts to the donors, etc., in their hands in such a manner that practically the aged members of Shree Shakti Club had nothing to think about. The whole procedure was carried forward in a very disciplined way, throughout the day, till 4p.m. without pause. Not only that, some of the members of WISH had donated blood there at the end of the day, there were 86 donors in that blood camp.

It is a great pleasure to declare that the performance of WISH on that day, had won the hearts of the club and the local people in such a way, that many of them had shown interest to join WISH and some had already done so.
