In St Nicholas we have boys and girls from countries all

over the world. We learned about some of these

countries in our countries of P1

Topic! We learned that everyone is

different and that’s what makes us

special.

Questions to discuss:

Pick one of your school friends. How

are you different from them? How

are you the same?

Art/Literacy (Talking& Listening)Blindfold Drawing

ChallengeLIT 0-02a

For this activity you will need 1

piece of paper, 1 pencil, 2 people and 1 blindfold.

1) Blindfold the partner who will

be drawing.

2) Partner who is not drawing must decide on what

they are going to get the drawer to draw. But do not

tell them!!

3) Begin to give clear instructions on how to draw

the thing you have chosen. If you are

the drawer you must listen very carefully! This works best if

instructions are slow and given

one at a time e.g. begin by drawing a square and give

Now we have learned a little bit about giving change we would like

children to gain a basic understanding of

budgeting.

Explain to children that a budget is how much

money you have to spend on something or how

much money you have for a period of time. All adults use budgets to make sure boys and girls have what

they need.

Budget challenge:

Tell your child they have a (pretend) budget of £5 to spend. They have to plan a lunch for themselves which must include a drink. Once they have

thought about what they want for their lunch (with your help) they can add the items they need to their online basket. Use

any of the online supermarkets websites for

this. If you do not have online supermarket

account, just use website and write down prices.

Did they manage to stay

Topic/Art SOC 0-01a

Use your hands or feet to print hand or foot

shapes onto a piece of paper. When the paint has dried see if

you can use other art materials e.g.

paper, pens, scissors to turn

your handprints/footprints into different

dinosaurs!

How many different

dinosaurs can you make?
