BEFORE CORY’S DEATH

People were looking for a President:

1. tumutulong sa mahihirap2. laki sa hirap3. may malasakit sa mga mahihirap

This was used intensively by Manny Villar given his money & machinery.



AFTER CORY’S DEATH

People were looking for a President:

1. hindi kurap2. may integridad3. tumutulong sa mahirap

The first two was used intensively by Noynoy Aquino given his Aquino brand.

The Mar Roxas for President in 2010 Blog was created and launched last JULY 29, 2007.

It’s main goal was to encourage and support then Senator Mar Roxas to run as President of the Philippines for the May 2010 Presidential elections.

For me, it was a result of the people’s desire for change from the Arroyo regime. Even though the 2007 Midterm Elections just ended then, the 2010 campaign was already on the air.

The blog was not affiliated with Senator Mar Roxas and the Liberal Party of the Philippines.

It was also the first blog that started it all for the 2010 elections online.

The Mar Roxas for President in 2010 Blog won as the Top 5 among the

Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2008, a writing project organized by

Ms. Janette Toral.

Blogging has already helped shaped today’s political landscape with more and more bloggers getting involved in sharing their views on issues that matter to them. This medium is widely accessible to everyone knowing that more and more Filipinos are getting hooked online.
