Part I

Access the website http://edublogs.org/signup-7b/

Create an account. You do not need an email address, but you must write down your username and password in your agenda. You will not be able to reset your password.

Click on dashboard and design your blog. We will use this blog for multiple assignments throughout the year.

Part II

Access the website http://www.onthemedia.org/

Choose three stories and listen to the podcasts or access the transcript and read the story.

Make sure to note the title of the podcast and the date you listened to it.

Login to your blog

Click on dashboard

Click on posts add new

Give the post a title – Onthemedia. In the post, write the title of the story and a summary of the story. Summary requires the main idea, and three important points. Do not write every detail. Choose only what is most important.

1. Add your commentary (your ideas or comments about the story). You can begin with

a. This is interesting because…b. This is important because…c. This shows….

Your commentary should be as long as the summary.

Click publish

I will periodically check your blog and assign points based on completed posts.
