Volunteers are utilized in various programs, activities and functions of the Library and are supervised by Library staff. Library volunteers are members of the community, looking to be of service to the community through participation in the life of the Library. This generous donation of time and effort is commendable and appreciated. In recognition of this, every effort is made to provide for a rewarding volunteer experience. All applications will be considered and you may be contacted for an interview when opportunities are available. Qualifications: 14 or older at the time of application Willing to commit 4 hours per month for a duration of 6 months or more Must pass fingerprint scan administered by the City of Folsom Volunteer opportunities: please indicate your preference. Sunday Docent volunteer one Sunday a month as a Library Docent Library Program volunteer- assistance with e-Reader workshops, storytime, youth/teen programs, homework help for students, adult/senior programs. Conversation Club volunteer-assistance facilitating discussion among adults with limited English Language skills. Shelving & Circulation volunteer –shelving books, shelf reading, and assistance with various circulation functions. Friends of the Folsom Library – BOOKtique and additional non-profit programs in support of the library. Questions?
