BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH. If you would like to
register at Blessed Sacrament, registration forms are
available at the back of the church, the parish office, or
register online at blsac.org.
BAPTISM: Parents who wish to have their child/children
baptized should contact the Parish Office for arrangements.
A preparatory session is mandatory for the proper formation
of parents and godparents.
MARRIAGE: Those wishing to enter a sacramental
marriage should contact the Parish Office at least six
months prior to the intended date.
VISITING THE SICK: Please inform the Parish Office
should a relative/friend who is homebound/hospitalized need
a pastoral visit or the Sacrament of Anointing. A priest will
attend to the Sacrament and, as needed, will arrange for
Holy Communion to be brought to your loved one.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION:
Preparations for the reception of these Sacraments are
taken care of by the Office of Faith Formation. Please call
the Parish Office and your message will be forwarded.

Everyone, Irish or not, is invited to celebrate a
family-friendly St. Patrick's Day on Tuesday,
March 17
th
. Festivities begin at 8 AM with Mass at
St. Patrick's Church, 134 St. Philip Street, Bishop
Guglielmone presiding. The Parade begins at 10
AM at King & Radliffe Streets proceeding down
King Street and ending at the Cathedral.

attendance at a weekend Mass evidenced by your
weekly envelope in the offertory, and active in-

periodically through the collection, please remem-

CRITERIO PARA EL «ESTATUS DE FELIGRÉS
ACTIVO»: Participación semanal en el culto
mediante la asistencia a una Misa del fin de
semana, evidenciada por su sobre semanal en el
ofertorio, y participación activa en un ministerio
de la parroquia o del colegio, y participación en la
ofrenda con gratitud y sacrificio.
USO DE LOS SOBRES EN LA MISA
Si usted da su ofrenda por internet, por favor,
entregue su sobre en la Misa marcando la casilla
«I give online». Si Ud. da su ofrenda en la Misa,
recuerde que en el día que no contribuya, debe
colocar el sobre vacío marcando la casilla «My
family participated[…]». Gracias.
El no usar los sobres por tres meses, coloca a la
persona o familia como inactiva. Los sobres y las
contribuciones se registran en la semana en que
se reciben. Para que su asistencia y su
contribución se registren correctamente,
asegúrese de que el sobre que use tenga
claramente su nombre completo y dirección.

MATRIMONIO
Aquellos con deseos de entrar al Sacramento del
Matrimonio deben llamar a la oficina parroquial
al menos seis meses previos a la fecha deseada.
VISITA A LOS ENFERMOS
Por favor, informe a la oficina parroquial si un
familiar o amigo que está confinado en casa u
hospitalizado necesita una visita pastoral o el
Sacramento de la Unción. Un sacerdote asistirá al
sacramento y, según sea necesario, coordinará
que la Santa Comunión le sea llevada a su ser
querido.

PRESENTACIÓN DE NIÑOS
Si desea presentar a su niño o niña ante Dios en la
iglesia, por favor, anótese con la Sra. Carmen
Rivera en la sacristía una o dos semanas antes del
domingo en que desea hacer la presentación.
QUINCEAÑERAS
Para solicitar la Misa de Acción de Gracias, los
padres interesados deben contactar a la oficina
parroquial 5 meses antes de la fecha estimada. No
se pueden reservar fechas antes de los 5 meses. La
quinceañera debe haber recibido el sacramento de
la Confirmación.

AYUNO Y ABSTINENCIA EN CUARESMA
Abstinencia. La ley de abstinencia obliga a los
que han cumplido catorce años a abstenerse de
comer carne los viernes en honor a la Pasión de
Jesús.
Ayuno. La ley de ayuno requiere que el
Católico desde los 18 hasta los 59 años reduzca la
cantidad de comida usual. Cuando se ayuna, se le
permite a la persona comer una comida completa,
así como dos comidas más pequeñas que juntas no
equivalgan a una comida completa. El ayuno es
obligatorio el Miércoles de Ceniza y el Viernes
Santo.

Escuchamos esta palabra en los círculos de la Iglesia frecuentemente. La Fe nos dice que todo viene de las Manos
de un Padre amoroso… sí, todo… aún nuestras posesiones materiales. Cuando cooperamos con el plan que Dios
tiene para cada uno de nosotros, somos capaces de usar los dones y talentos que Él nos dio para ser creativos,
tener trabajos que concuerden con nuestras habilidades, etc. Dios nos da TODO.�
Ser un administrador es ser un cuidador (recuerde que no somos dueños, ¡Dios es el dueño máximo!). A un
cuidador se le confían los bienes y propiedades de alguien más, y debe rendir cuentas. Habrá un ajuste de cuentas
de la confianza depositada en cada uno de nosotros. Solo una mente que comprende esto puede activar su corazón
para responder con gratitud. ¿Cómo logramos esto? Respondiendo. Devolvemos a Dios una porción del tiempo que
Él nos ha dado; devolvemos a Dios una porción del talento que Él nos ha dado; devolvemos a Dios una porción del
tesoro que Él nos ha dado. Y cuando hacemos esto de una manera regular, consistente, estamos siendo buenos
administradores, buenos cuidadores.�
