    BlendedLearningGuidelines

    OnlineParticipationRequirements:

    BlueValleyBlendedLearningcoursescontainonlineassignments,groupwork,blogs,wikisor

    discussionforumsthatrequirethestudentstoengageandinteractwithotherstudents.During

    theonlineinteractions,studentsarerequiredtoberespectfulofothers,useappropriate

    grammarandspelling,andfollownetiquetteforallonlinecommunication.

    Netiquette:

    Netiquetteisthetermforcommon-senseguidelinesforcommunicatingonline.Studentsin

    BlueValleyareexpectedtorespectandabidebythefollowingguidelines:

    Swearingisunacceptableatalltimes. Avoidsarcasmandslang,especiallywhenparticipatinginonlinediscussion. Derogatorycommentsincludingthoseregardingrace,gender,religion,politics,

    sexualorientation,physicalormentalstatus,orabilitywillnotbetolerated.

    Allcriticismmustbeconstructive. Avoidspelling,grammaticalandtypographicalerrors. Contentofonlinediscussions,andpersonalinformationlearnedthroughonline

    discussionmustremainprivate.

    Neverrevealpersonalinformationincludingphonenumbersoraddressesbymeansoftheonlineclassroom.

    StudentCodeofConduct:

    StudentsenrolledinblendedlearningcoursesmustadheretotheBlueValleySchoolDistricts

    codeofconductrulesandpolicies.

    AcademicHonesty:

    Academicintegrityisthefoundationoftheacademiccommunity.Becauseeachstudenthasthe

    primaryresponsibilityforbeingacademicallyhonest,studentsareadvisedtoreadandunderstandallsectionsofthispolicyrelatingtostandardsofconductandacademiclife.

    Informationcontainedinblendedcoursesshouldnotbedistributed,duplicatedorsharedby

    students(includingassignments,tests,quizzesordocuments)unlessgivenpermissionbythe

    courseinstructor.Studentswhodistributematerialswithoutpermissionoftheinstructorwill

    besubjecttotheappropriatedisciplineproceduresandpolicies.
