PLA School Model PLA was awarded 10 charters from the Indiana Charter School Board, the most in the state’s history, to launch a network of schools that will serve nearly 10,000 children. Building on over 20 years of experience in raising student achievement, the PLA school model has the following pillars:

• Longer school year (225 days vs. 180)• Longer school day (8 hrs. vs. 6)
