In 2009, Blandford Nature Center became and independent nonprofit organization. Blandford Nature Center has 143 acres of nature and trails that are most often used for hiking and snowshoeing. The Wildlife Center is a permanent residence for numerous injured animals that cannot survive in the wild. There is a 2.5 acre farm, which grows 300 varieties of organically grown vegetables. The farm also includes a greenhouse, chickens, and goats. The Blandford farm is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program with community members receiving fresh produce each week during June through December Blandford holds many educational programs such as summer camps, field trips, and community programs through hands-on education with the nature.

In 2009, Blandford Nature Center became and independent nonprofit organization.

Blandford Nature Center has 143 acres of nature and trails that are most often used for hiking and snowshoeing.

Blandford holds many educational programs such as summer camps, field trips, and community programs through hands-on education with the nature.

Blandford owns multiple donated heritage buildings that are included in the educational programs: Star Schoolhouse, Robinson Khutic Log Cabin, Homestead Barn, Sugarhouse, R.B. Stilwill Blacksmith Shop, and the Learning Lab.

Blandford also has many “on the road” programs where workers travel to Grand Rapids public Schools with the animals and other education material to share their knowledge on nature.

Blandford holds multiple signature events such as the Jeans and Jewels Gala, the Harvest Festival, the Sugarbush Festival, and the Longest Day 5K.
