BLACK LIVES MATTER: THE CALL FOR POSITIVE CHANGE! JANUARY 15TH - MARCH 26TH , 2021

Held in conjunction with the exhibition Ayé Aton: Sun Ra and

Beyond and during Black History month, the LASC is featuring

works centered on the theme Black Lives Matter: The Call for

Positive Change as submitted by area artists through a regional

call.

Black Lives Matter: The Call for Positive Change!

The rise of the Black Lives Matter movement has brought to the forefront the issue of

plight among African-Americans and the injustices inflicted on our Black neighborhoods.

During this period of strife and political unrest, great change can occur. Through the

bridging of communities and self-expression, understanding can emerge. The LASC will

exhibit artwork that reflects this movement and its positive call for change during this

important chapter in our nation’s history. This is a juried exhibition of 2d framed art that

will be presented on the walls of the LASC’s Glo Gallery as well as on-line this spring.
