Eunice Johnson in 1945 created Ebony and Jet Magazine. Eunice had loved fashion, she used this magazine for black self empowerment. Linda Johnson Rice, the Daughter of Eunice and John, said “She just wanted to prove there was no barrier to Black Beauty. She would put the brightest yellow or brightest orange on the most dark-skinned model she had.”
