    The Oracle Business Intelligence, Warehousing and Analytics Special Interest Group (BIWA)functions as a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) andrepresents a worldwide association of persons who share a vested interest in the successfuldeployment of Oracle Database-centric business intelligence, data warehousing, and analyticalproducts, features and Optionsthat is, the Oracle Database BIWA platform. Oracle DatabaseBIWA platform products, features, and Options typically of interest to the BIWA communityinclude, but are not limited to:

    Oracle Database, Oracle OLAP Option, Oracle Data Mining Option, Partitioning Option,Oracle Warehouse Builder, statistical functions, SQL Analytics, Oracle Text, OracleinterMedia, regular expression searches, text mining, BI Publisher, etc.

    Query and reporting tools, BI tools and BI dashboards including Oracle BI SE, Oracle BI EE,and similar tools from Oracle ISVs and partners.

    The Oracle Business Intelligence, Warehousing, and Analytics (BIWA) Summit 2007 meeting isdesigned to accelerate the success of users of Oracle products by providing a forum for sharinguseful information and best practices, discovering novel and innovative practices, and exposingissues and limitations concerning Oracle products.

    Selection Criteria

    Presentations will be selected based on the interest to the BIWA community of data analysts,business analysts, line of business (LOB) managers, application developers, architects and DBAs.Selection of presentations will be made based on appropriateness, anticipated level of interest,novelty and interesting topics, success stories, and usefulness. Additionally, we are investigatingpublishing BIWA Proceedingsfavor will be awarded to submissions accompanied by technicalpapers.

    Submission ProcessTo be considered for a presentation, an abstract needs to be submitted by June 30th, 2007 [email protected]. Please include the following items in your abstract: session title,description (max. 600 words), what the audience will learn, audience prerequisites, and speakersorganization.

    Please note, by submitting an abstract, you are granting BIWA permission to post the abstract andpresentation on the BIWA Web site or BIWA Conference Proceedings or Publication.

    Important Dates

    Last date for submission of abstracts: June 30, 2007Presentation notification: July 27, 2007BIWA Summit: October 2-3, 2007
