For customers who don’t need a 4-core system now, but expect to need it in the future, the best choice is: • NB54000c with 2 cores enabled
w/ a plan for a future 4 core upgrade • If the customer needs to perform the
upgrade online they should consider the memory needs of their applicat ion at the 4-core level when they make their init ial purchase
For customers who feel they don’t need a 4-core system and are concerned about costs the best choice is: • NB54000c with 2 cores enabled • A core upgrade is an opt ion for the life
of the system • Some customers may never need to
upgrade to 4 cores
13
For customers who need the maximum capacity and performance available for NonStop the best choice is: • NB54000c with 4 cores • This is today’s default

– VT5900-A, B, C, E, G, H, J, K, and L
• VT5900-P entry level can have 2TB, 6TB or 12TB raw storage internal disk package − 2 FC HBA with either dual or quad FC ports (maximum 8 FC ports)
• VT5900-O utilises external storage array (VT5930/31) with 24TB raw storage per shelf
− 6 FC HBA using either dual or quad FC ports with up 2 quad and 4 dual HBAs maximum (16 FC ports)
Trade-in for “legacy” VTD license customers to move to Capacity based license All customers (legacy VTD) should move to VTS Release 8.x for support and fixes

Pathway domains • Multiple Pathway environments (PATHMONs)
within a node behave as one application domain • Replicated serverclasses across PATHMON environments
• Single serverclass namespace which looks like one big serverclass to applications
• Transparent load-balancing across environments by ACS
• Management via new Pathway Domain Management Interface (PDMI)
• Helps eliminate planned outages • Online reconfiguration and rebalancing of Pathway
environments, without having to take the Pathway application down
• Raises single Pathway configuration limits by up to 4x
• e.g. MAXSERVERPROCESSES is raised from 4095 to up to 16380
Features • Support for Pathway domains across nodes • Faster release of dynamic server links • Faster server shutdown and restart by reducing the
server process cleanup time • Improved CPU utilization and load-balancing after a
CPU reload • Support for large Pathsend dialog messages • Umask support for OSS servers • Single SPI command to get serverclass name for a
server process • Filtering and wildcard support for SCF STATS
DETAIL/RESET commands • Log ACS event # 1006 as warning or fatal/error • PATHMON to be delivered with HIGHPIN ON
• New API GETTSMPVERSION introduced • Support for 64-bit addresses
