• Public demand for basic IT tuition continues to outstrip supply

• Staff expertise and goodwill is backed up by service objectives

• Rationale was to create a model or structure which was

portable, adaptable and developed our library IT offer

• BITS are available in all Kirklees Library & Information Centres

• BITS seek to put the user at the centre of the IT learning experience…

• …and public libraries at the forefront of free IT learning provision in Kirklees

• BITS provide basic skills which can be tailored to meet user’s needs

• BITS provide direct or embedded hyperlinks to existing learning resources

• Resources linked to or referred from via BITS have been evaluated and tested by library staff
