Hidden Noon-with-Sakin in Double Kasrah

Bird طير Let us take طير with Kasrah: طير.

It can be طير،طيرا،طير etc depending upon the context.

Once upon a time, the letters went for a picnic.

The word طير started coming down towards them

Noon-with-Sukoon cap was very excited to see the طير flying

As the طير came down

Noon-with-Sukoon also got near.


When the طير landed, ن wanted to join it

Whenever you see double Kasrah, make sure you see the noon-with-Sukoon inside it.

2 Signs 2 Sounds

Double-Kasrah occurs only on the last letter of a word.

What is the use of Tanween?

a book كتاب Just add extra Kasrah in the word itself. No need of space!

You can have كتاب or كتابا too. There are other uses of Tanween too!

• By adding another Kasrah, actually we added a ن there!• Noon-izing or Noon-ation is called “Tanween” in Arabic.
