Welcome Message BISICON 2019
Greetings from Hyderabad,
On behalf of BISI we extend a warm welcome to the 7th National conference of
BISI–“BISICON 2019” to be held on 15th, 16th & 17th of November.
Hyderabad, known for its Pearls, Biryani and the Nizami hospitality, is truly a blend of
old and the new and the varied traditions and cultures of our country. On one side we have
the Charminar and Falaknuma palace representing our ancient heritage and on the other
the“ Hitech city” which has emerged as one of our countries largest IT Hubs. The venue of
the conference “The Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre” is centrally located
and a few steps away from the scenic Hussain Sagar Lake, in the middle of which is the
world’s tallest monolith of Gautam Buddha .
The theme for this year's conference is “BASICS AND BEYOND” and will cover the
entire gamut of Breast imaging, from the basic mammographic interpretation and breast
pathology to the advanced Contrast enhanced breast Imaging and Breast MRI. We bring
you a choice of 3 workshops on 15th November and this will be followed by lectures,
symposium and panel discussions by our esteemed National and International faculty.

The rulers of the Qutb Shahi Dynasty had a tradition of constructing their tombs during their lifetime. The tombs tower over the landscape majestically.
The Chowmahalla Palace was the seat of the dynasty of the Nizams of Hyderabad who were well known for the grandeur and wealth. This palace, built in the eighteenth century has been painstakingly restored and has been open to public only since 2006. Get to experience a slice of their lives through their magnificent Palaces.

Falaknuma PalaceThe Falaknuma Palace that was built in the late 19th century is shaped like a scorpion and has an eclectic mix of Western and Indian architectural styles and reflects the grandeur of the era associated with the Nizams, be it through the magnificent Venetian glass chandeliers above you or the peacocks roaming around in the sprawling gardens around the Palace.
One of the greatest collections of art pieces in the world is housed in Hyderabad. This treasure trove is a fascinating amalgam of antiquity and modernity and represents the three Salar Jungs' efforts to find the most exquisite pieces from across the world.
