Our Commitment to YouThrough a liberal arts curriculum, the faculty and staff of Elementary Education are committed to develop teachers as professionals who can counsel wisely, demonstrate reflective teaching, impart knowledge, and recognize the importance of educating the whole teacher who will interact ethically and humanely with others in the workplace and community.

Among the many distinctions of Lees-McRae’s Elementary Education program, the Reflective Framework is perhaps the greatest. Simply put, it’s a process that encourages students to reflect on every aspect of the learning and teaching experience.
