Transcript of Bio_Jun 2016
Alethea Carlene McIntyre is a designer providing meaningful research that
translates beautifully into thoughtful creations. She is a skillful design optimizer
and creative thinker. Currently she is working on her ability to communicate
concepts by mixing graphic design, photography and architectural drawing to
tell the stories of design and its process.
Alethea has been drawn to design since part of her high school education,
ended July 2007, in Technical Drawing and Woodwork at Caribbean Union
College Secondary School in Trinidad and Tobago. That experience led her to
study Architecture at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, where she
also took courses in landscape, urban, graphic and furniture design. She is best
known for being introverted, organized, helpful, thorough, thoughtful, hard-
working, sensible, and trustworthy.
Most importantly, Alethea advocates for design that deeply meets human
needs, design that listens and grows, and design that is present and
considerately responsive. Through learning, life experiences, personal
development, expression of creativity and insight, doing meaningful work, and
helping people, Alethea is dedicated to being a catalyst for growth in design
and in others, connecting to the essence of both, identifying their strengths, and
inspiring them to accomplish great things.
Alethea now lives in Brooklyn with two of her sisters. Together they navigate
through career adventures, while sharing baked goods, personal development
books and individual favorites on netflix.
