Basic Details Antonio de PeredaWho was he?

1611-1678 Was the oldest of three

brothers. Had an artistic family, everybody was a painter.

Was educated by Pedro de las Cuevas and was taken in my Giovanni Battista Crescenzi.

Was a spanish Baroque style painter..

Accomplishments Antonio is known for his

historical paintings, including the Relief of Genoa (Painted in 1635) painted for the Buen Retiro Palace in Madrid.

He specializes in Still art, art that shows movement and emotion in an expressive way.

So, to sum it up, Antonio de Pereda was a spanish baroque painter who was born on 1611, and died on 1678. He painted ‘The Knights Dream’ and is known as one of the best baroque painters of his time.
