    Bio Gas Technology-Quick facts

Biogas is produced by the anaerobicdecomposition of organic matterPrinciple

Large scale biogas systems can be designed

    to cater to the requirementsCapacity

Customized solution can be found for BiogasplantArea Required

The system functions for 350 days a year on24 hrs basisPeriod ofFunctioning

System can be used for cooking, vehiclefilling and power generationBio gas utility

    Bio Gas Technology-Quick factsBiogas Calorific Value 4500 kCal/kg or 21 MJ/m3

1 m3 of biogas has energy content equivalent to

    LPG 0.4 kg

    Diesel Fuel 0.5 litres

1 m3 of biogas can generate 1.7 kWh(el) (depending of efficiency of

    generator)

2.5 MT of Kitchen waste per day Biogas Plant reduces 862 tons of CO2

    emission per annum

    Bio Gas Technology-Quick facts

The biogas slurry is rich in nitrogen, the essential nutrient for plantgrowth

    Percent N-P-K

N stands for nitrogen, which is responsible for strong stem and foliage

growth.P is for phosphorus, which aids in healthy root growth and flower and

    seed production.

Kstands for potassium, which is responsible for improving overall

    health and disease resistance

    Components of biogas system

    Feeding System

Depending on typeof biogas plant, all

bio-degradablematerial can be fedinto the digester. Theraw material mayneed to be crushedand mixed withwater/outlet slurryand feed into thedigester.

    Gas GenerationSystem

The digester is theheart of the biogas

plant. Biogasproduction is ananaerobic microbialprocess which takesplace in the digester. The process involvesthe combined actionof four differentsteps i.e.

    a. Hydrolysis b. Acidogenic

    c. Acetogenic

    d. Methanogenic

    Gas DistributionSystem

    Biogas producedinto digester is

either enriched ordistributed throughpipeline to thehouseholds mainlyfor cooking purpose. The biogas can bedistributed withequal pressure withthe help of GPRS

    (Gas PressureRegulating System)developed byExcellent.

    Gas EnrichmentSystem

The produced biogascan be enriched with

the help Low-Scrubbwater scrubbingtechnologydeveloped byExcellent. Theenriched biogas isequivalent to naturalgas quality and canbe used as vehicle

fuel aftercompression or forany other purpose
