With the materials included in this kit, your bookstore, classroom, or library can encourage kids to brainstorm ideas and present them in an exciting entrepreneurial way! Feel free to tailor this event to fit your group’s needs, but here are some suggestions to help get you started! HOW TO RUN THE EVENT:
• The HOST introduces the game, explains the rules, selects ENTREPRENEURS and INVESTORS.
• Allow the ENTREPRENEURS ten minutes to fill out their pitch sheet explaining their idea.
• Allow each ENTREPRENEUR five minutes to pitch their idea to the INVESTORS.
• Allow the INVESTORS five minutes to fill out their scorecards.
• After all ENTREPRENEURS have presented their ideas, allow the INVESTORS ten minutes to get together to:
Tally up their scores for each ENTREPRENEUR.
Vote on which ENTREPRENEUR will receive the MOST CREATIVE IDEA AWARD and the MOST PROFITABLE IDEA AWARD.
• The HOST will select and present the BEST PITCH PRESENTATION AWARD.
• The HOST will ask the audience to vote on the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD.
• Be sure to congratulate and thank all participants to encourage creativity and confidence! No bad ideas in brainstorming! And, of course, HAVE FUN!
