THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR

The Spanish Civil War was fought from 17 July 1936 to 1 April 1939 be

the Republicans and the Nacionalists. The Republicans were the ones

formed the government in that time. The Nationalists prevailed, and F

ruled Spain for the next 36 years, from 1939 until his death in 1975.

How did the Spanish Civil War affect

On 31 August 1936, the city suffered the first bombing. On the next

further bombings by German planes occurred, in coordination with forces. The battle lasted until 19 June of that year, when Lieutenan

Putz was ordered to destroy all bridges over the estuary, and the tr

5th Brigade took the city from the mountains Malmasin, Pagasarri,
