A Genealogy Program for Children
GETTING STARTED:
Why I got interested in looking up my own history …
The following list of names represent the famous pirates and privateers who were associated with the Elizabethan era, late 1400's and early 1500's:
Nathaniel Butler - English PirateJan de Bouff - Dutch PirateTobias Bridge - English PirateEnrique Brower - Dutch PirateJohn Calles - English PiratePeter Easton - English PirateDaniel Elfrith - English PirateJohn Nutt - English PirateGrace O'Malley - Irish PirateJohn Ward - English Pirate
And that was just my father’s father’s side of the family! What would I find on the other sides of my family?
So I became interested in my family’s past … and found out a lot!
How can I take this interest and extend it to a program at the Library?
Our summer Reading program was Dig Into ReadingNamed my program Dig Into Your History!
Sense of self through finding out…
Who am I?Where did I come from?
Am I English, German, French, or a mixture of a whole lot of nationalities?
